I'm using tap water. It's pH is about 8.0-8.3. The first 2-3 weeks from seed, I'm not giving any nutes, so I have to add ph-down to my water to get it to be round 6.5. Then when I start mixing veg nutes, my water's pH (after mixing the nutes) is about 7.4. So I still have to use ph-down to lower...

It's still early for the fan leaves to start dying. From what I can see from the pics, looks like overfert.

Normally rain water is the best. But I don't know after going down your roof.

I'd suggest that you only test the pH of your water (after adding the nutes). Keep that around 6.2 - 6.6 and you'll be fine. You won't have to check the soil's pH.

I'd say the earliest in about 7 weeks.

they WOULD grow down. the only genetic that the plant's got is going towards the light, and the roots going towards darkness... They are not "programmed" to go up or down. They're able to go at any direction as long as they're growing towards the light.

sorry for the lack of updates, but i didn't have a camera, and I wanted to upload pics too!! Now, I just got back my camera... lights are going to turn on in three hours. everything's been going good, buds are fattening.... lots of pics are coming, as soon as the lights turn on...
