New video of my grow room CHECK IT OUT

Soak them color-coated seeds in a shot-glass with water 12-24 hours before going to the wet paper towels. Just picked up some of those mix packs, and am 2 for 2. Then, like PK said, keep them in the dark and humid/wet.

Technical, From 'growers bible' "Germination: During germination moisture, heat, and air activate hormones (cytokinins, gibberellins, and auxins) within the durable outer coating of the seed. Cytokinins signal more cells to form and gibberellins to increase cell size. The embryo expands...

    seed in rockwool

Do you know the PPM of the distilled water? I found using R/O water was too bare of micro-nutes (dead). U may have better luck with that distilled water in RW with a little added Calmag+

    seed in rockwool

The rockwool should stay damp. How fast it will dry out depends on your environment, the dome should slow (or prevent) them drying. You *may* not need to provide any water before seeing a sprout break the surface.

    The Seed Collectors Thread

Need expert advice (Noob Question).. Just got my GHS order, and one of the seeds is a double... That is, it looks like 2 smaller seeds stuck together, rather in an ass-like shape. Is this seed viable? If so, could it make dual taproots/plants?

    seed in rockwool

Wouldnt be surprised if it works either way.. In the past with dirt, once I got taproot, Id just plant the bare seed in the dirt and stick it under the light, which also worked.

    seed in rockwool

Can confirm it does not need light until it breaks the surface. Last few beans, once they got taproot, they went in rockwool, and did not get light until they came through the surface. Used a dome and heating pad inside a cabinet.

    Any one use hempy buckets????

I don't have the experience to say, Ive headed more down the synthetic road, with a Dyna-Gro plan. My primary reason for the Calmag+ is to (re)add nutes to the r/o water, plus boost my Nitrogen a couple points, as Dyna-Gro Grow is only at 7 N. I also began thinking I'd keep it simple with a 2...

Think Im going to add this too.. Hygrozyme Enzymes are natural and therefore enviro friendly. Enzymes are found in our everyday lives in soda pop, bread and even in our body to help digest food without which we would starve even if we eat! Enzymes are catalysts, they speed up chemical...
