Was that a YES you can get an accurate reading directly under the light ? AND a NO the light itself will not effect the temp reading on the stat ?

When trying to get the most accurate temperature reading should the stat be outside of the area lit by the light. When I leave the stat directly under the HID for 12 hours it always has some crazy number. This morning it showed 100, despite the room only feeling mildy warm.

I dont know anything about those computer things but you might want to check to see if your camera has a macro feature. It should allow for quality images to be taken around 6 inches..

What is the normal range you keep the room ? What is the outside temp normally and what does it fall to at night ? How does the above effect your room temps ? I am new but thinking ahead. My house and room can fall into 60's at night, this could be a problem in flower, when the light is off.
