Disposal was a lot of my problem with rockwool the coco /smart pot combo works out well for me my smart pots usually have a root ball that fills it complete royal gold tupur is my coco of choice I use it right out of the bag

It has to be in the fittings , the line or the pump try filling the tub & then shut off the pump then disconnect the line from the pump the tub should start draining if not run a piece of wire through the hose & once unplugged if the hose starts draining look at the pump it may have debris in it...

What you're doing sounds about right until they acclimate to the light I start out at about 36 in but I don't have a dimmer some strains tougher than others
