If you just transplanted your crops they're probably a bit shocked so personally I wouldn't trim anything off unless it just pulls off very easily. I think maybe you've suffered nute burn from your cheap soil.

You can't reverse the burn you already have and I'm fairly curious about your post because I have never had ffof alone cause nutrient burn.

I rekon if you put a layer of sand in the bottom of your pot it'd be good for drainage..... But if your soil has per-lite (and it should) why bother with sand?

What type of soil are you using? If you're growing a photoperiod plant and using foxfarms ocean forest you shouldn't need anything except maybe add some crushed dolomite lime. The ffof will feed it for a while so you shouldn't have to add any nutrients until your first week of flower. I...

Honestly, add your lime and throw away your PH meter if you're in soil. 3 tbls per gallon of soil.

Rapid rooters work well for me, I leave them in a humidity dome until they take root. I then transplant them into ffof soil.
