    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

I think (i hope, maybe) the grapefruit are getting some green back. It may be wishful thinking on my part so I took pictures today to compare in a couple of days. I got some Earth Juice Microblast two days ago and foilar feed them and added a half strength mix to the nutes (i didn't want to...

So I moved the ballasts to the attic. After all this worrying and thinking about heat i figured getting the ballasts out of the grow room was a must. I'm not too fond of the attic because i don't like them being in hot environment (bad for all electrical) and it also worries me that they will...

Dramatic temp change and plant growth

The default temp deadband on the CHHC-1 is 3 degrees as well. More than the AC issue I'm more interested in allowing for longer CO2 uptake periods with shorter cooling/venting periods.

Dramatic temp change and plant growth

Thanks gohydro. That is very interesting. Where did you get it from? It doesn't exactly address temp changes with a given day (lights on period) which is really what I'm looking for. Good lookin out though.

Dramatic temp change and plant growth

My friend has the deadband on his AC setup to 3 degrees so his AC comes on fairly often. I've read that a lot of on/off intervals is not good for the compressor and is not very efficient. I was also thinking of combining AC with venting to cool the room very quickly but also have the deadband...

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

So I conducted a test of the air cooled lighting system last night. I turned the lights on and let them heat up for about 2 hours. Then I poked a small hole in the intake duct (after the fan and about 4' before the lights) and inserted a temp sensor . Then i poked a small hole in the exhaust...

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

My first batch of clones has roots! I seriously doubted they would make it. It was my first clone attempt and they were cut from the tops of plants not the lower branches. It took 2 weeks but they are lookin better every day. So far 3 have died and I have 21 left. Hopefully the remaining 21...

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

Here's an pic update of the ladies. They are looking pretty good. I sure wish I had more room cuz the 3x3 veg tray is lookin real crowded. I might have to pull some more out before I get to flower. I just don't want them to stretch and I want good healthy plants. Anyone have any input?

Ebb & Gro bucket system - bucket spacing

How tall/wide were they when you started flower? Thx for the info. That really helps. I subscribed to your journal and will be watching to see how it turns out. I'm also thinking of putting a couple more than would actually fit by the end of flower so that I could pull the weakest ones or any...

    Cooling idea

Do you have an 1800 BTU or 18000 BTU system? Did you have to have the system installed by a professional or were you able to do it yourself? Did you notice a dramatic difference in your electricity bills after the upgrade? I checked the specs and that controller looks SWEEEET! Do you have any...

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

Actually, that brings up another question I've been working on. My friend has the deadband on his AC setup to 3 degrees so his AC comes on fairly often. I've read that a lot of on/off intervals is not good for the compressor and is not very efficient. I was also thinking of combining AC with...

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

Well, the problem is that when the leaves started turning yellow they stopped growing. They haven't really increased in height and all of the Sour D clones, which I got at least a week later than the Grapefruit, has already passed up all of the Grapefruit. I'd like to think it was genetics but...

Ebb & Gro bucket system - bucket spacing

Thx Dirtyboy. That's useful info. The pics are a little hard to see cuz they are small but I get the idea. How tall do your plants get? How long do they flower for? What strain are you growin?

    First Grow - 3000w - Ebb & Gro - H&G - Sealed

Thanks! Good tip. I see from your journal (nice job by the way!) that your room is 71 sqft. What CFM fans are you using for venting? I bought a spray paint that says it's specifically made to bond to plastic. But, like yours, they get nicked and flake easily. If you find something better...
