I believe it has to do with how tall you want them to be come harvest time, since I believe they will pretty much double in height during flowering. I got some clones a week ago and still have a few days, I'm waiting till they get a foot tall because I want them to end at two feet.

Even if it is in coco/perlite? I am running e&f and the first time I flooded them I checked the ph AFTER and it was over seven, from then on it's been around 6.3, is it possible the first flood a few days ago is still affecting the soil?

Thanks, but how do I tell if my roots are dry? I stuck my finger in the soil but I don't want to upset the roots because aren't they sensitive? The soil(less) never really feels wet to me only moist so it's hard for me to tell.

How close if using an exhausted ac hood could I put a 1000 watt light? 2 feet 1 and a half, in Jorge cervantes's book it says 24 inches but I was wondering if I could get it closer.
