I use protekt silica. roughly 1/2 tsp gal. If you have a ton of organics in your rez it will affect it. Run 5 gal of plain tap water in a bucket and then add 2.5 tsp of silica and watch your meter. It should jump up considerably. I never really have tried to get a set (x) tsp/gal because the...
