    2023 Massachusetts Outdoor Growers

For some reason deer never touch my plants, there are a lot around and their hoof prints are around them. What they love are tomatoes, grapes, blackberry shoots, and the apple trees.

I switched to 45 gal cloth pots about 5 years ago, previously in the ground. Have them on a auto water system so they are always kept watered, nice to go on vacation for 10 days and not even think about them. They may only get to 7' but that still get me more than I can ever use in a year. Come...

    Low Key 2022 Garden

Back in the good old days we would put a t pin through a piece of cardboard, stick a piece on the end of the pin, light it and cover with a glass. When the smoke filled the glass, lift slightly and suck the smoke out, it will keep burning and the glass will be filled in the next 20 sec approx...

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

Thats a anise swallowtail caterpillar, they will only be on that type of plant, they dont touch pot. Looks similar to a monarch but the monarch will only be found on milkweed. they can live on all kinds of milkweed but it's best to not have tropical varieties, something to do with them blooming...

What can I do with these drivers?

does this combo seem right, BXEB-L1120Z-50E8000-C-D3 , forward voltage is 38.4v, max current is 2.8a, with this driver, hlg-185h-C1400b, I could power 3 strips, at 1.4A, and dim them to less?

What can I do with these drivers?

I tried looking at the how to power led thread, is there some basic way to see how many strips a driver will drive. I want to run them at low power but with the ability to increase. I have made a bunch of quantum board lights and one strip light but I was helped by others determining the strip...

What can I do with these drivers?

Maybe I should go with a only 5000k +- strip instead of the warm white/cool white.

Thanks for the input, looking more for a 5000k, should have been more specific.

What can I do with these drivers?

What I was thinking was for my veg area which is 108" x 40". Thinking two fixtures with 4 strips or 6, approx 50" x 20", I can make the fixture from al sheet, and attach the strips with the driver mounted on top of the fixture. I'm not really worried about the cost, just want to use my drivers...

What can I do with these drivers?

I have a few drivers that I bought for some reason that I don't know, but if I wanted to build lights with these useing some led stripps what are my options? I have built lights but there was always the recommended driver so it was easy. Here is what I have: 1ea) HLG 240H-C1050B, 2EA) HLG...

QQ: Outdoors in Fabric Pots... what size?

Been using 45s and get about 2 lb per average, 3 is good. Part of the thing about larger pots is you can water less often, if your automated then no problem. My starts in 3 gallons need to be watered twice a day now, they are about 3' tall.

Just give them plain water at that age.

Why do you say that? mine take that all the time, not talking about seedling. I will alternate with plain water, but at 1500 ppm nothing here is crispy. I do agree about over feeding. I have only used the 1500 ppm measurement for the mature girls so why wouldn't my plants be burnt? Usually...
