I don't know if that's entirely true. From what I understand, the roots and the foliage of a plant grow at the same rate; as long as proper conditions are provided, the plant will grow regardless of the size of the pot or the method of watering.

Could you post a picture of the reflector from the top? Basically, what it would look like if you were standing above it when it is shining on your plants.

I'd really like to know more about IR imaging techniques and the science behind these technologies. It seems like it could be both potentially useful or useless, IMO.
