    I absolutely cannot control humidity

What size tent? And multiple tents or both fans in same tent?

    I absolutely cannot control humidity

Yea, I asked about that but it wasn't addressed. With a good exhaust fan and "freezing" room I would expect the tent temps to be lower than 90.

    multiple plants in one pot????

I know someone that would grow two plants in each hydro bucket. They were switched to 12/12 when still small and ended up taking up the same space a single plant would use with more veg time. This allowed him to use a smaller space for vegetative area. I never got into whether he did more...

    I absolutely cannot control humidity

Yes it did, but dry air is easier to cool. I can't say exactly how it affected the electrical efficiency but the overall effect was cooler temps along with drier air. It might be worth it to run the dehumidifier with the AC for a few hours to see how it affects temps and humidity since you...

Dwc jack harare auto from mega queen to sad saggy mess

So low oxygen and possible anaerobic activity. I had an air pump go bad once, plant looked the same. Never recovered. How long has the plant been wilted since fixing the oxygen issue?

    I absolutely cannot control humidity

A 60-70 liter dehumidifier is going to remove a lot more moisture than a window unit can. Dry air is easier to cool so it should offset the power being used by the AC. Not sure about the tent temps being so high. What's the fan volume and tent sizes? I had similar problems when I was growing...

    TOP/FIM alternating nodes...no answers anywhere!?

In my experience the top node will still be apical but it won't be as prominent. That's why people LST. Once the symmetry is gone it doesn't come back.

Is this light too close to the plant? i am running out of room.

I don't see any heat stress. I think the chance of that lamp causing direct radiation damage will be very low. Keep the ambient temps in the right range and it will be fine.

    Coalition against Mites

I think the floor treatment is being helpful but you're right. I have managed this whole time to keep things under control and get good harvests but it's very difficult in this environment to eradicate them and I'm very tired of dealing with it. I may try another method, but a deep clean is the...

    Coalition against Mites

Ahh, good to know. I feel like most of my gains have been in the last month after I started to drench in early flower. Hopefully once the mature plants are harvested that will be it. I've been treating the floor (using a mop) with stronger insecticide for several weeks. I'll try citric acid if...

    Coalition against Mites

If you have eradicated a mite infestation, give a short explanation on how it was done. Infestation #1: limited to veg area. Used Doktor Doom (pyrethrin) fogger and then repeated 3 days later. Problem solved. Infestation #2: In perpetual flower area. Can't fog so have been using a pyrethrin...

How long until spider mites die off completely???

I have read 11 days, 14 days, and apparently eggs can hatch at up to 20 days. However, I have in the past defeated mites with Doktor Doom, fogging the veg room and following up with a second fog three days later. Perhaps the fog (pyrethrin) can permeate eggs? Or perhaps they typically hatch...

    Floralicious plus? What's the point?

My understanding is that organics are primarily food for the microbiome. I wouldn't use organics in hydro without adding beneficial bacteria or fungi. That's just asking for the root problems. After doing this for many years I've started using a microbial product called Azos in the aeroponic...

    Nutrients

Running RH at 40-50% and selective pruning to keep the airflow through the plant high are probably the best ways to improve bud density. How closely you're packing plants in is related to this same issue. If you have a single environment 50% RH will work fine for everything but if you have a...

    3000k vs 4000k

    I've used 2700K 90CRI, 3000K 70CRI, 3000K 80CRI, 3000K 90CRI, 3500K 80CRI, 3500K 90CRI, 4000K 80 CRI. 70CRI produces the most vegetative matter in my experience, good for veg. 90CRI produces the most stretch. There are other minor differences but I haven't seen a notable yield difference based...

New veg light, what to do?

You don't need 465 watts. I light a 3'x7' veg area with two 150w lamps, about 75 par watts each. If you don't need full strength across the whole area you could plan for a 4x4 area and use the side light for rooted cuttings, seedlings, etc.

i’ll not buy another led until..

I read a couple pages. I have 5x 6 year old lamps with fans and oversized extruded sinks, still running strong. I did replace one of the HLGs recently. There's nowhere on the sinks I can touch and feel warmth, even right up near the cobs. All the fans and fan drivers still running, surprisingly...

Who grows DWC without a chiller?

I've been using Recharge going on a year now. I use Azos for cloning and switch to Recharge once there are some roots. Recharge is not suitable for cuttings.

Who grows DWC without a chiller?

The bubbles aren't going to contact all parts of the roots. I know someone who runs "sterile". They're very careful about sanitation, sealed room, clean clothes, clean hands etc. They've never had pythium but they do get slime build up. From what I'm not sure but it's never ruined their grows...

What would you like to see in a new hydroponics system?

I would need to set up an experiment to see how much heat they add because my buckets are sitting on a concrete slab. Alternatively I could sit a bucket of water in the grow space and take a measurement for comparison. But several hours into lights on the water is 70 and air temp is 75. At least...
