What Amperage are you using in these COB's?

i was thinking if I drive the 72v cob with 1.05a = 75w per cob, needing only 8 cob's to achieve 600w @ 56%+/- efficiency vs 12 36v @ 1.4a cob's to get the same amount of light . Am i over thinking this thing or what ? thanks for the help guy's :peace::bigjoint:

I think I may go with those as well. I been tossing up many ideas, but the 72v seems to be the best option for future expansion

Do you have a datasheet showing how many lm/Watt on the 3590 72v?

do you think parallel is the better way to go? I seen a video where growmau5 said it was wise to use a resistor if your going parallel . I'm just curious cause i'm ready to buy some parts and want to get as much feedback as possible. and BTW I heard back from Luminus and the CXM-32 Gen3 is...

With that driver you can only drive 1 36v COB correct? or are you running the COB parallel?

good point ..i just started doing some more research and figured i would start my build with the latest tech thats all. Maybe someone couls start a forum or something regarding the Luminus CXM-32 Gen3?

looking for the CXM32 fastslappy which has 11,000 more Lumens

JD emailed Avnet to see when they will get them i believe, and they don't come up on Alibaba either which is strange to me

Bassman the data sheet says Preliminary, however i find it odd there are heatsinks for these already.

No JD your correct "(CXM-32-35-80-54-AC30-F4-3) It looks like they aren't released yet Avnet does carry the 70CRI gen2 version...

it's not the Gen 3. and its limited to 4k and 5k cct on that site for what they have, but thank you for helping. From what i'm reading on there data sheet: http://www.luminus.com/products/Luminus_XnovaCXM32-GEN3_Datasheet.pdf these COB's are the latest tech and cheaper, brighter and more efficient.
