So the thing about aluminum foil or tin foil is that when used to reflect light because of the bent edges (basically impossible to avoid) this directs the light into points which may or may not create hot spots on your leafs.

I always like to have at least 100W per plant so i would say maybe five would be a good number. It really all matters on what size pot you choose. Hope this helps!
