I tried it with mesh screens over the end of the hose but vermiculite would block it every time. I really dislike vermiculite now because of that problem.

35 lights at 13.5w so 472w total. The sockets are just standard hardware shop fittings. Diffusers are removed. You can achieve great coverage with this system which works well if you have height restrictions. Some side lighting will be my next mod.

I should also note. See the air gap in the bottom of the jar, after you filter the oil into the jar put it in the fridge to solidify upside down. This way any contaminants that made it through the filter will be sitting on top of the jar and you can easily scrape it off.
