lol i wouldnt worry about it, the plant will eventually trim that off, sometimes they just shoot roots out the pots looking for more moisture and exposed to open air they will eventually die, again i wouldnt worry about it, its quite normal

i think you should just add your three part at half to 3/4 strength and PH it to 5.8, thats what i like for hydro...i think that will generate response in the plant, and 45 is ay too low that stupid. 65 is the coldest i would go..
