    How important is air movement...???

It is very important for two reasons. Firstly once your seedlings get bigger and start utilizing more CO2 in photosynthesis, they'll have a noticeable effect on the atmosphere in your closet environment. It is recommended that you change the air every 5 mins to maintain a fresh supply of...

    Fresh Herb In Cooking?

Okay as you folks know Xmas is fast approaching and, as is always the case, money is tight. My harvest should be ready on the 22nd Dec quite gives very little time for drying and no time for curing. I am considering making a few vegan space cookies for friends. My question is, when using...

    "Nutrient Lockout" Question ? ? ? ?

I would like to add that the most common cause of Nutrient lockout is pH. This is thankfully easy to fix. The link provides a chart of the nutrients available at different pH. Hope this helps. http://www.avocadosource.com/tools/FertCalc_files/pH_file/pH.jpg [edit] The above chart is for soil...

    WTF!?!?!?! Please Help

Either the plants are from an autoflowering strain or you're confusing a pre-flower with flowering. I'm going to guess the latter. It is possible to tell the sex if left to veg long enough without putting them into 12/12.

Decent size for 4wks from germ.???

The above man is correct; you're on the right track. It isn't particularly big for its age but it does look very healthy which is by far the most important thing.

Exhaust/Filter How many CFMs For My Room

Your maths is correct. If you can afford it, it is worthwhile getting a larger exhaust which you can run at less than full speed (with an appropriate controller). It'll be quieter and be able to cope better if the ambient temperature is higher.

    fluorescent lights

If you can afford the electricity bill you can veg under the HPS and they'll do well. Word of warning, they will stretch a little bit but not to the point where it causes a problem supporting the weight. Just something to keep into consideration if you have tight height restrictions.

    HPS for VEG

I beg to differ, my bag seed being grown under HPS alongside the autoflowering plants has shown preflowers. I'm inclined to agree, the plant is a little stretched but not to the point where it causes problems supporting the weight.

    Nutes?

Nutrients Usually referring to the macronutrients NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium) though it may be referring to micronutrients. Basically anything that the plant requires from the soil or growing medium that it cannot produce itself.

    A question of trust.

I'm jealous :). She does smoke occasionally and knows I do too. In the last 6 months I more or less abstained because I could no longer afford to maintain the habit. I'll just share it with her to offset my conscience of not telling her. Smoking on your own isn't much fun but stoned sex sure is :D.

    A question of trust.

I've decided to put them outside for a couple of days in the green house. Since it will be Dec, the weather will be miserable so I can see no reason for her to go out there. Even if she does, it isn't visible from the patio. Sorry Jeffdog if I didn't make myself clear. She's my new partner...

    A question of trust.

Cousin's best friend. I would just like to get that straight. Well it is still early days yet so I'd rather not bring it up. That is not really lying as such, just none of her business. I must admit I quite like the idea of a Bunbury (if anyone is a Wilde fan) but no need to elucidate or explain...

    A question of trust.

I hope if I ever get married that I find someone who understands the need to have a private room as a sanctuary.

    A question of trust.

I must admit I'm very reluctant to let anyone in on my little secret. I never thought of hiding them. They're auto flowering so perhaps upsetting the light cycle won't hurt too much so late into the flowering cycle. Fingers crossed that the weather won't be too bad so I can put them outside for...

    A question of trust.

The space is my closet which unfortunately needs to be kept open a crack for temperature control. With the mylar sheeting and a 400w HPS it is very difficult not to notice in my room; especially considering how minimalistic it is. Smell control is good at the moment through how it will fair once...

    A question of trust.

Okay, here is the deal. I have heard from my cousin that my new partner is planning a surprise visit on the 12th Dec to stay for the weekend. So far I've been very good and no one knows about my grow (except you lovely people). The grow is situated in my bedroom and it isn't something that could...

    Ideal Height for flowering

This man has hit the nail on the head. It's depends entirely on your space or time restrictions as it will double to triple in size during flowering. The longer you leave it in veg, the bigger the plant will be, the more budding sites it will have and ergo, the more you will yield. Most...

    Cloning question

Cloning should be done BEFORE flowering. It can be done whilst flowering but the chances of it rooting are drastically reduced and the chances of the plant turning hermie greater. You can judge the sex from the pre-flower (which can be difficult I appreciate). Alternatively, as you guessed...
