It all depends on size and shape of your plant. When using cfl they don't have much coverage so they have to be alot closer. The rule is you don't want any part of the plant in a shadow. If you see a dark spot add more light

I ran my first two grows with cfl. I'm glad I did it gave me a chance to learn the plant a little before adding all the heat and vetilation that comes with the 1000watt. I've also got similar yields with both, but I probably haven't used the GPS to its full potential yet

I think it's 2400k for flower and 6400 for veg I like using a mixture of both

I veg two plants for 4 months and they produced double the amount of bud as the plants I veg for 2mnths

I usually go from 1 gal to 3 gal to 5 or 7 gal depending on pot im uaing I mite look into it though it could be worth it if I didn't have to worry about nutrients the whole time

Are you saying if you use the ocean forest you can transplant befor flower and not have to use nutes?

Yes with pro mix you have to use your own nutrients from the start. With a "hot soil" like ocean forest you don't have to use your own nutes until flowering

I hear good things about fox and farm ocean forest. It has nutes in it and you don't have to feed your plant for 4 to 6 weeks. I use promix you can get big bales of it for around 40$ and I have actually been Re using it for my last two grows with no negative outcome

Are you asking for suggestions on your whole set up? Do you have any kind of starting point or do you just want a list of supplies. You should do some research threw Google or threw this site on how grow rooms are set up and how to grow.

Cfl is a realy cheap and forgiving way to start. Not as much heat and can be used in regular light fixtures. I bought bigger ones I think they are 200 watt came with the fixture and all cost 75bucks. I used them for the whole grow and pulled 1 and a half oz a plant for my first grow.

I love a hot water bong. Expecially when it's cold out. The steam from the hot water seems to make things smoother.
