Your problem with burning them at 3 weeks in veg could have been because FFOF is high in nutrients. Dont think your supposed to feed for a month in that stuff. Think I read it on here.

Very simple. Mix 2 parts salt petre with sugar an heat it on the cooker until the sugar melts. Make sure its well mixed and allow it to cool. it will form a solid again. you can light it with a lighter or make a wick if you want. The smoke is not instantaneous but it will put off a thick cloud...
