i tried baking soda before and didn't notice any effect. there are a lot of different products you can pick up in a supermarket that will kill smells of a few plants.....look for them in combination with a homemade filter. the more the merrier, and less smell, but the truth of the matter is...

i would wait until plants are mature, then 12/12, gather clones, kill any males and start another grow with the clones. but thats me.......

i usually try to place the top(former seed pod) just enough in the dirt where i can still see it, and of course the root in the soil.....usually i see something in a day or two.

welcome......indoor guy myself, but the rules are simply----there are none. the plants are yours to do with as you see fit. grow a plant, grow a ton, whatever. just read some stuff here and there and make your own judgements. the plants will show you the way.

i agree, nice looking, but too close to produce good results. i'm with the don't prune too much people, but it looks like you have some space to play with so i would try slight bending to get some more room in between.
