That looks a lot like boron deficiency to me, which can be connected to a possible potassium and nitrogen deficiency or even under-watering according to other sources. Make sure your PH is within acceptable range. It is probably best to flush with PH'd water and then add a little bit of good...

I don't mean to be a dick, but how do you plant a seed the wrong way? Who's in charge of the right way in nature? Without a pic it's hard to judge how "bad" it is, but the sprout will find its way into the soil. If you touch it, you may kill it.

Have you been using Chernobyl-Bloom? Also a simple HPS or even CFL would be preferable to an X-ray machine coz if it starts talking you're in trouble.
