White Widow in a tiny space

Sounds awesome. WW is my gf's favorite strain, so I'm glad to hear Seedsman got a good pheno. I've never met a golden retriever I didn't want to pet, lol. They're all so friendly.

    What's eating my plant?

Going out early in the morning to tend my plants I've seen the slugs going down into holes in the soil, or squeezing into the space between soil and pots, and between the cracks between paving stones. Personally I call that hiding. I take your point about slugs in the desert though, lol. If...

    What's eating my plant?

You said you're growing in a tent? How would a butterfly or moth get in there to lay an egg? BT, bacillus thuringiensis (I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling, but google will help). It's a bacteria that kills specifically caterpillars. If ou're getting outdoor pests in your tent it could...

White Widow in a tiny space

Nice. Have you grown it before? I'm curious about how auto strains stack up against the photoperiod originals. I haven't grown autos yet, but I have a few for outdoors this year.

    mold and cold resistant strains

Blue Cheese is supposed to be good with cold and wet. It was bred for growing in the UK.

    Seeds

I top them, stick the top into a glass of water and put it into 12/12. Or, if I'll be vegging them long enough, I'll stick them in a glass of water till they root, plant them, let them grow a week or two, then flip. I did put a plant under 12/12 from seed till it showed sex and then revegged it...

And here's day 2. Off to a good start, lol.

    Seeds

I mostly go with fem seeds for rec grows. If it looks like a strain I'd like to breed with, or like something I'm going to want to run over multiple years I'll get reg seeds. It's just hard to breed when you're growing outdoors and don't want to pollinate your neighbour's crop. Another reason to...

can you create a new strain using feminized seeds?

Yes, the offspring of that cross would be f1 hybrids. It wouldn't be a stabilized strain yet, but it seems like a lot of f1 crosses are being called strains now.

HELP! Powdery mildew. Can't stop it.

I used it in flower as a preventive spray for bud rot. Only lost a tiny side bud in the 2019 season. You can rinse any residue off, but you don't need to as it has no odour, no flavour, and is safe to ingest. It's KHCO3, and its melting point is north of 550f, so you shouldn't be inhaling any...

HELP! Powdery mildew. Can't stop it.

If you do try aspirin be very careful not to overdo it. I read somewhere (Ed Rosenthal's website I think) that a low dose is good for your plants, but that a higher dose can act like CS or STS and cause your plant to hermie. Potassium bicarbonate. I got mine on amazon. It might be available at...

    Back inside, what to grow?

And so it begins. White Widow broke the surface night before last, spent yesterday under a 45w desktop light as I set up the "tent". Just started a journal, and I'm figuring out how to put a link in my sig, until then here it is. https://www.rollitup.org/t/white-widow-in-a-tiny-space.1042332/

White Widow in a tiny space

Shit, how do I add a link in my sig? And @Wizzlebiz don't want to forget, lol. Edit: Nevermind, figured it out.

White Widow in a tiny space

So, to pass the time while my province is in lockdown my gf bought me the @Spiderfarmerled sf 1000 v1 grow light, and cleared a space big enough for a MacGuyver style tent, 45x45x180cm. This is mostly for fun and something to do while waiting for the outdoor season to come back around, but I'd...

Purchasing online in Canada advice please

Mega Crop is a one part powder, used for both veg and flower. I got mine online, and I'm also in Ontario. I have never used CO2. Here's a link to Greenleaf nutrients, they make MC. https://greenleafnutrients.com/canada/product/mega-crop/ They seem to be out of stock for anything under 9kg, but...

    Difference between decarbing

At a high enough temp the THC will vaporize. That's what @Dr. Who was getting at. You can go for a higher temp for a shorter time but you run the risk of turning your weed into a pile of grass clippings. There is a chart floating around that is supposed to show the times and temps for decarbing...

    Cotleydon

You're keeping it too wet. We can see that from the soil around the pod. I accidentally ripped a few cotyledons off of seedlings. She'll be fine as long as you set it dry out for a while. That wet environment can cause an infection in the wound from the ripped off leaf.

Looking for grow friendly landlord in MI

Does the law in MI let you grow outdoors? I know it's not an ideal situation for some, and you'd have to add security measures in some places.

Need Tighter, Thicker Mother Plant Growth (T5 vs MH vs CMH?)

sf1000 from Spider farmer. I'm just setting up a very small space for one plant. I'm an outdoor grower now, and need something to keep me busy in the off season, especially as the entire province entered lockdown on Boxing day. I used to grow indoors, so I'm looking forward to seeing what I can...
