New led builds, with par numbers

    I built a 1000 watt Vero 29 fixture a couple weeks ago.. I decided to build 2 more. Here are the parts. Doing a 10 cob Vero 29 Gen 7 3000K C all 90 CRI and an all 80 CRI light. 5 of these Vero 29 Gen 7's C's 3000k 80 CRI - $30.28 each...

Can someone explain 80 CRI vs 90 CRI- LED

That will be a great test and interested to see the results.. would have to do multiple rounds though to get a more accurate conclusion, as we all know there is always variation from one crop to another.

    TIMBER - Outstanding Customer Service

I agree, Dan was great, I have 6 200 watt 3590 kits and 2 300 watt vero 29 kits from Dan, shipping and customer service was top notch.

    Help me understand something

So my 1000 watt vero 29 fixture 24" above canopy (10 at 100 watts each) gives better penetration then my 750 watt 3590 fixtures (12 at 62.5 watts each) 16" above canopy probably? It may not be as efficient running at 100 watts each but being able to keep it higher above the canopy sure gives...

    Help me understand something

I know the lower wattage you run a cob the more efficient it becomes. But is the intensity of the light a factor as well? If I ran two cobs at 20 watts and a single cob at 40 watts, won't the intensity and penetration be better on the 40 watt than running 2 cobs at 20 watts each? If I take a...

My new 1000 watt Vero 29 build

I built a 1000 watt cob fixture last week and it turned out so well and it lights up and penetrates a 4 x 4 like I have never seen before so I decided to build two more. Here is other thread https://www.rollitup.org/t/my-1000-watt-vero-29-led-build-inspired-by-growmau5.937492/#post-13448278 I...

My 1000 watt Vero 29 LED Build inspired by Growmau5

lol yeah, I am super happy with the light, going to build a couple more haha. I took a few measurements with my apogee 120 sensor (gives lower than actual results when measuring leds), at 24" I was getting 850 ppd, was getting 1300+ at 12" , getting these numbers at almost every point in the...

Yeah, I understand that and I agree.. I just wanted a nice toy that would give pretty accurate numbers, I think I will order the apogee 500 meter they have for 500 bucks.

    Par meter and ppfd questions

Great video, now I wish I would have gotten the sq 500 sensor though instead of the 120. How much of the led's we are using (cobs) go into the "deep red" as he explained it, the 650 to 700nm?

My 1000 watt Vero 29 LED Build inspired by Growmau5

I just kept everything 8" width, no particular reason. I ordered 3 96" 8020 extrusions, I used every inch of it. I cut 4 40", 4 24" and 4 8" sections to build the frame, copied growmau5's dimensions.

I took my triples down and am VR now, (oculus rift). I did keep a single 42" screen up for desktop use and games which don't support VR. I race mainly in iracing. I have a different seat now as well than the one pictured, a leather one from a volkswagen passat haha.

Yeah all my other lights I built using angle and rivots as well, the 8020 you can get from 8020.net, 8020's ebay store or tnutz website, which is a little cheaper than directly from 8020. They have a ton of adapters, plates, attachments and so on for 8020. I am using those little 90 degree...
