Those need nitrogen. Some say you have to watch PH to the T. Others say it does not matter at all. Personally monitoring mine has worked great for me. If you can't get something to test PH maybe put growing on hold for a little while until you have more resources. Those are lacking Nitrogen. Not...

A couple of my plants are pretty dark green. Not black by any means, but a little more dark than I think I would like. Should I just skip a feeding and use straight water? Any thoughts? Using botanicare line.

That plant is done. Burned to shit. Plants can make their own food just fine without nutrients the first couple days/weeks. Good luck with your next grow.

Well I just stuck my socket in there. Looking good? Honestly havent even researched this technique. I am just replacing an aircooled hood setup so I can keep my heat up. I am also gonna add another 1000 in there. No idea if this is right lol. Its a booster fan underneath.

My ballast didn't come in the mail cause the weather is shit. So I guess I will have it saturday. I put the bulb in a socket and hung it up just because I think the hood limits the light too much. I am considering just hanging another 1000 instead of using the hood once my other ballast comes...

You will be okay near the tree. A period of darkness is not a bad thing either. Its nature. I don't know about the moth balls but you can just use your own urine. I don't eat meat so it dosent really work for me. I always used coyote urine.

Why wait until 4 weeks? Give them nutrients when you see they need them. They will tell you. Start with REALLY small doses. Just to get the plant used to it and see how it reacts. Slowly work your way up. Most of my plants use nutrients by week 2 of veg.
