I used a 400w hps in a ebb an flow sytem on my first grows and loved it, but for small spaces your kind of limited. Build your own DWC system, 135 doen't sound to bad though. See if he can throw in the nutes.

Once the ph settles down I leave my grow alone for a day or two before messing with anything. Keeps me from overdoing something.
