cool cool, cheers for the info. i used some vineger (no sodium) last night to drop pH and it seemed to work. wish i hadn't now though! i've ordered some pH down so hopefully that will help me out. +rep for the help :)

i think it might be on day 8 or 9, not sure really. day 13 applies the the eldest one and the others are a few days behind.

day 13: apart from the leaf curling, everything is cool. i'll be chacking pH later and adjusting accordingly, aiming for 6.5. does anyone have an opinion on this pH level? sorry about the bad pics, i'll start using a camera soon and not my mobile. :peace:

hey dude, you really don't need HPS to germinate and look after seedlings. a blue CFL would do just fine, save you hassle with fans for now and money on your leccy bill. HPS all the way for bloom though, so i've heard! how are they looking today? :peace:

hey khalifa, i'm only using one 125w CFL and the setup is in an open room in the UK, so shouldn't get too hot. i have a small fan blowing on the little fellas too :)

thanks, trichlone fiend. that chart is really helpful. i think i was being totally complacent with not checking pH and only using tap water in my feeds. my dad has a soil pH meter somewhere so i'll use that for now to check the pH. for now i'll use vinegar but will probably buy some pH down...

just remembered my dad has a soil pH meter! i know they're not amazingly accurate but at least it will give me an indication of what's going on. good luck with your grow, mate. got a pics/journal?
