What's wrong with these leaves ?

yeah you need a lower pH dude, i.e. more acidic. you want to be aiming for about 6, a tad above. look around for more precise values :) hope this helps

First time grow: go buddha go!

sorry man i didn't explain very well, i meant i would drop the pH so that it can get access to the nutes, not give them a feed :) i'm using a decent compost mixed with perlite and vermiculite

First time grow: go buddha go!

the others are really good actually mate, they don't seem to have been affected to be honest. perhaps because they're younger and have a lesser nute requirement. i'll take your advice re watering and post up some pics afterwards so you can see what they all look like. here's hoping i'll get...

    overwatering/high pH problem: any helpers?

heya, my problem started when i realized that some leaf twist was due to a high pH. in a panic, i used a vinegar containing feed to try and drop the pH. the idea was to flush through and so i used alot of this water. the result was, yes, a lowered pH but also a lot of drooping the next day...

First time grow: go buddha go!

so things aren't looking good for my big plant :( since i can't water, i can't use pH down to drop the pH. as such, it is suffering mineral deficiencies, and badly. but maybe if i water now i will overwater and cause droop again. i think the soil is nearly dry enough to water with the pH down...

First time grow: go buddha go!

Could be mate, got any photos. Both over and under watering cause drooping but it's pretty easy to determine which is the cause. Hope the other 6 are doing well :) Mine isn't drooping anymore but is suffering from mineral deficiencies for sure. Lots of yellow etc, will post pics when home...

First time grow: go buddha go!

cheers dude, sounds like i'm experiencing all kinds of lockout at the moment. i'll wait until she's perked up and then sort out my pH. i'm sure that will be a battle in itself, having to flush with a lowered pH water to get the soil to a good level, maybe leading to overwatering etc etc...

the temp outside is about 26 degrees apparently. only in the UK so shouldn't get too hot, today is a scorcher by UK standards though! i've brought the biggun inside now, the little ones never went outside. i'm just gonna leave her now and hope she makes a recovery. all the new growth looks...

cheers for subscribing dude! hopefully i'll have her back on track soon. i've put her out in the sun today since it's absolutely boiling! do you think this will be a shock to the system? she's only been out in the sun once before and i don't want to freak her out. i'll be reaaally careful with...

First time grow: go buddha go!

sweet, cheers dude! i haven't touched them yet, apart from wetting the new medium i'd potted the big girl up into. my pH down should come today or tomorrow, should i wait until she's looking better before using? i.e. is it worse to leave at a higher-than-optimal pH or to over water?

oh rad! let me know how you get on with the HPS, i'm looking around at them too, have too many plants for my CFL right now! also, i've heard sunlight does wonders for MJ, so the rotations are probably doing it some good. i left mine out when it was sunny yesterday :)
