as long as some of the new branch was covered with soil it will sprout new roots....but then you would still have to cut it off the main stem. A pretty sad way to go.

What he is trying to say is, instead of cloning a bunch of plants that have NO root system, you trim the main stem untill you have just the branches you want, bury it sideways in the ground so the "new" clones can be above ground and have a root system untill they can establish their own. whats the temp in your grow room? I would check the temp of the soil, it maybe be a little high. No the mold SHOULDNT spread, but if you irratated the mold on the other plant it could have released spores that can float and spread on whatever it lands on if the conditions are right.

They do make these round " pellet " style plugs, that are split down the side. All you have to do is slide the cutting in the side and close it up! They are very handy, especially since its frustrating to insert a cutting into a peat pellet or rockwool and have your gel or powder rub off. Ah...

Turn on a fan! You have much to much humidity in the room, do you have a humidity gauge? I suggest transplant into fresh soil asap, or that mold will spread right to those fresh buds. It will take a couple weeks to show buds, or faster depending on the nutrients and light power you have going...
