    Raw brand silica

That will work fine for soil. Mix it into your water (about 1/4 teaspoon per gallon) then, water it into the soil. Maybe every watering, less if that seems like too much. For sure use in veg.

Plant Cloning Issues, What's Going On?

Excess Nitrogen can delay flowering. Too little phosphorus can leave your cuttings without the Energy to grow roots. I've seen a science guy (who sells nutrients) recommend a dose of flowering feed a week before taking clones. In my experience, low phosphorus shows up as purple stems that get...

Best ready made beneficial bacteria for root growth?

I agree about lacto bacillus and Teraganix EM-1. This stuff is cool because you can use it right out of the bottle, or add 1 cup EM-1 and 1 cup of molasses to a gallon of water and brew up a new Gallon. And from there you can continue the process forever and not have to buy anymore. A company...

Is the praying leaves a bad thing or good thing?

For sure wait! If you top too soon you'll stress out your plant and it will be all stunted or stop growing again. You for sure don't want that. And while you're waiting, think about not main-lining at all. I know it looks cool and it's fun to mess around when you're new, but I think it's...

Is the praying leaves a bad thing or good thing?

In my opinion, Praying leaves are the plant's way of asking for more light. Flat, wide stretched leaves are the plant showing the amount of light is adequate. Droopy leaves mean too much light and the leaves are trying to hide. If your little plant was water-logged, stunted and struggling...

When the leaves turn yellow in late flower

That's the way I understand it, plants pull less and less out of the medium as you get to the end of flowering. And I believe this is backed up by the study of Flushing. There wasn't much difference between plants given nutrients or no nutrients during the last couple weeks. Like the plant...

    Flushing indoor in soil

There was a fancy study. Individual people noticed different flavors between flush/no flush, but there wasn't a consistent result. Like some people thought one was better, and other people thought the other was better. https://www.rxgreentechnologies.com/rxgt_trials/flushing-trial/ How many...

    Calmag and nitrogen def

Yeah, sounds like regular old Hungry Plants. Generally, 5 gallons of soil will take care of a plant for about a month. If you cut the Happy Frog soil with peat moss it could be running out of juice even faster. The lack of nitrogen, calcium and magnesium is showing, but the soil is probably...

Day 48 leaves all going yellow

What's up with your soil? You say your plants are drinking a lot, are you watering enough to keep the soil moist? How often are you watering vs fertilizing? Like are you giving nutrients once a week and water the rest of the time? How many liters of fertilized water are you giving your plants...

    Unstable pH

You've been growing for years, how are your results? If you've been using citric acid, and it's been working, do you really need to change anything?

High tap water ph for supersoil

1 Tablespoon, or 1/2 oz of dolomite lime per gallon of soil is pretty good. 5 gallons of Ocean Forest should probably go about a month. After that, I don't know if soil pH becomes a problem, or if it's lack of nutrients causing the problem. Either way, after about a month Ocean Forest (or most...

High tap water ph for supersoil

I agree about not pH'ing the water, and I would just use it without adjustment. Then brew up some compost tea or earth worm casting tea every couple of weeks to make sure the microbes are going strong and keeping your soil pH in the proper range. I don't think a little citric acid here and...

    First few weeks flower tips

What are you feeding your plants, or how are you fertilizing them? Your plants look like they are growing strong, real thick and bushy. So maybe nothing is "wrong." But is it possible that next time you could feed less nitrogen in veg and grow plants that are less leafy and bushy?

    3 X 3 tent: Updayday 500 watt light? 400 watt MH bulb? HLG300RedSPec? 2X Viparspectra XS1500pro?

Yeah, too much light for for the 3 x 3. Sell the updayday and the vivaspectras and get a bigger tent.

    3 X 3 tent: Updayday 500 watt light? 400 watt MH bulb? HLG300RedSPec? 2X Viparspectra XS1500pro?

I would try to find some way to combine the metal halide and the 300rspec. LEDs can struggle in the winter if temps are too low. And 400 watts of metal halide isn't a lot of power. Together, the problems are solved.

50/50 Coco/Peat mix for base super soil

I like to add some coco chips to peat based soil. I like the big chunky pieces and gnarly fibers way more than dust-like coir. I feel like the different textures and sizes keep the peat based soil from getting too tightly packed and hydrophobic. And I feel like this makes it easier to water and...

    Earth juice bloom nitrogen.

The Bloom also has oat bran, which can have nitrogen too. The newer "Sugar Peak" Flowering and Grand Finale don't have that stuff.
