  • Hi just looking a wee bit of advice and I seen you seem to know what your talking about, this is my first grow my plants have 4-6 leaves on them but I've realised they are in too big of pots, what is the best thing to feed and water them, and also lighting? At I've got them on 12 hrs light 12 hrs dark, are they okay to be cooler at night time or do they need constant heat.? Thanks

First problem -- seedlings like yours need at least 20 hours of light a day. I have mine set at 24/0 under a 400W bulb.
Biggest problem -- too big a pot for efficient growth. I would transplant into smaller pots. Try something about one gallon in size or smaller.

First, cut all around the plant while leaving 3-4 inches of soil around the stem. Gently pick up entire plug and loosen attached dirt. When you've done that swirl the plug in a large bucket of water to remove excess dirt. Now re-plant in small pot.
    Good luck, Steve.
Looking to go prepetual, want to crop once a week maybe every 2. Care to share some advise?

There is a lot to setting up a perpetual grow. If you send me a PM I will try to help in detail. BigSteve.

I don't understand how you can veg for only 1 month and go straight to 12 and 12......would figure that's way too soon....I usually wait till 40 inches tell then flip 12 and 12....any advice

I grow short bushy indicas that go from the veg room to the flowering room at 20-24 inches tall. They double in size flowering and I harvest most at 44-50 inches tall. Rooted clones going into my veg room need just 4-5 weeks to reach 2 feet. 6-8 weeks flowering and I harvest. My rooted clones are 1-2 weeks faster to reach proper size than seedlings. Works for me! BigSteve.
    I did see it.
Now I got a problem. I'm running out of space in my veg room and I have to decide which clones to keep and which ones have to go.
Just finished a grow of Critical Sensi Star and liked it so much I re-grew the mom just so I could get clones from her. Now I got 3 clones from
her and 3 from a new grow with Critical Jack. Everyone says all the 'Criticals' from that breeder are great. So now I got 6 hot clones and space for 3.
Now I know how Solomon felt when he was going to cut that baby in half. I'll probably keep 2 of each and just scootch them together a bit.

    BigSteve.
hey bigsteve, i have read a few of your responses and i find you to be very knowledgeable. I'd like to add you as a contact if you dont mind. Thx.
Actually I do write down everything I do with my plants. I record their height, how much water they get, etc. That worked great because my digital camera took pix
that I could load onto my computer. After the camera broke all I have is my notes.
    BigSteve.
