(CNN) - Jessica Sanford, the Washington State woman cited by President Barack Obama as an Obamacare success story, received more bad news Tuesday. Officials with the state's health exchange checked on her case and said she will not qualify for assistance in buying insurance.

On the other hand, as of yesterday afternoon, my insurance company was able to work out a primary care doctor in my area.
So now I am enrolled, have premium paid, primary care doctor established and unless anything changes have an appointment set for January 6th.

you must use marketplace unless your state has it's own exchange..if you are unsure, go to marketplace and scroll down for your state. www.healthcare.gov

States with their own exchange seemingly are doing much better. Hard to understand why all States did not want to help their citizens. Whats up with those governors ????

Ambetter from Magnolia
0 deductible
2250 max pay
10 dollar Primary Care
10 dollar Specialist
10 dollar generic
20 dollar non generic prefered
40 non generic

That is just from off the top of my head and may be off here or there, but I consider it to be a pretty nifty insurance policy.

$406 per month.

I am type 1 diabetic, prior to AHCA this type of insurance would either turn me down or charged so incredibly much it would have been the same as turning me down.

Once I made an account through healthcare.gov and answered the questions I was shown a list of available policies in my area. At the time Ambetter was the only choice, last I checked Humara had joined.
Once I chose Ambetter, that insurance company took over.
I was emailed, followed link, made an account with Ambetter and have dealt strictly with Ambetter, including paying them over the phone. Their website is messed up and wont take online payments yet.

How do you "help" a person if they would prefer you didn't make their choices for them or threaten them if they don't follow your commands?

I started to get on Cover Oregon two weeks ago or longer and couldn't get any useful help at all, they wanted me to down load 19 pages and I did...Then they wanted me to wait until I hear from them about what options would be available to me and I have not heard from them sense..And then today I walked into an Ins company in town and ten minutes later I am signed up, it was that easy. I did not have to go through the exchange and do any of that BS they were wanting me to do.

If it is true and they don't send my money back I am going to save around 80.00 per month from what my old policy was and there is a lower deductible..I went from 580.00 down to 493.00 per month and deductibles went from 1500 down to 750.00 and OOP went from 8500 down to 4500..The plan I went with was the upper gold plan from Modda with the 750.00 deductible..

So I feel good about not having to spill my guts about my income to a bunch of idiots at the state exchange...The oregonian news paper should let people know how easy it is to sign up without going through Obama care..But that would be for paying people that can not benefit from the subsidies..Anyway it turned out to be a good deal for me and I wanted to share this news with RIU...

Have you ever attempted an "intervention" with any of the above?
If they don't want to change their life, there is NOTHING you can do that will change their minds.
As you age you begin to learn that and stop trying to control what others are doing.

Ever have a friend who fell for the crazy as hell person? No matter how much you talk to them and point out all the issues, they are completely oblivious or just dont care. You have to let that shit run its course and hope at some point they wake up.

So you have a choice of one doctor and a seven week wait to see him. Yeah, great insurance.

You can buy directly from the insurer and there is also a private website set up if you want to see all the available options. So, you're wrong.
