if you seriously think that 30 min cartoon teaches more about financial markets than concentration level course work, 5 hours a week, for 2 years, you are DELUSIONAL.

it's pretty accurate but it downplays how the de-regulated nature of the securities market, from their formation, to the way they are rated, to the way they were sold, it was ALL a corrupt process... which were completely legal....

if a car dealer puts BMW tags on a Hyundai and sells it as a BMW, the car dealer would be in DEEP SHIT..... why?? b/c that's not right, and there's laws protecting brands and how you represent a product...

that doesn't happen with financial markets anymore... thanks to reagan, clinton and bush de-regulating it to the point where you can be legally scammed out of your money.....

I didn't say it teaches more about the "financial markets", I said it teaches you more about the federal reserve, and it does, there is a lot about the federal reserve in this 30 minute cartoon that I never learned in college, but things that I learned by doing my own research, in college they tell you very little about the federal reserve only briefly covering its function assuming your only taking the basic econ classes.

Regarding your other statements:
I don't think its really fair to say that it downplays those aspects, its just that its not the focus of this film, it is mentioned (quite often in fact), but I have to disagree on your use of the word 'downplay' there. If it played into it much more it would just be catering to radical left wingers like yourself, You'd probably prefer a Michael Moore film over this, maybe they didn't mention it as much as YOU would of liked but it did have sufficient coverage. The truth is that the FED is equally responsible.


Now go back to blaming capitalism for your woes 'red'diver - blame the free man - blame your neighbor - cause we all know in your simple world that if they didn't sell bullets at k-mart people wouldn't get shot right?
