you can also be harmed by breathing in the dust from lead paint in which your child or wife may do if living in a house that has old lead paint

But lead has a metallic taste, easily verifiable in any book on the matter. You MIGHT have meant to say that lead PAINT tastes sweet, but you didn't. So, since I do not have the power to read your mind, I cannot make assumptions on what you really meant. I can only take you at your word.

Google " what does lead taste like" and then Google "what does lead paint taste like" totally different answers.

Anything except what constitutes air is harmful if you breathe it, any moron could have told you that. If you live in a rat infested home and refuse to ever clean or paint shit then maybe there might be concern about lead paint, although I would think it was less of a concern than the rats or the general lack of hygiene in such a place. If you keep your home clean and well taken care of there should never be a problem with lead paint. Most people tend to paint over already existing paint. so most old lead paint is covered by layers of other paint. Its not going to flake off and get in the air. Lead paint on a wall, untouched, not flaking off, covered by other non lead based paint poses absolutely no health hazard to anyone.

Sorry bro, I kinda let my kids run rampant around the house yesterday and they made a big mess. had to play bad dad to make them clean it all up.
