so it seems that organically grown vegies are responsible for the ecoli outbreak, in FUCKING VEGATABLES. nope, dont happen in vegatables UNLESS YOU SPREAD COW SHIT AND CHICKEN SHIT ON THE PLANTS.

do lefties even have to go to a corn field ever? just wondering

so as you bash, big chemical, big pharma, for their supposedly horrid technological fertilizers and chemicals, keep spreading cow shit on your tomatoes.....you fucking idiots. i will stick to the new technology forced on us by the big companies,

well yeah, you'd have to be pretty ballsy/dumb to use any type of animal manure on your edibles.

how is this a left/right issue though?

no self respecting conservative would dare eat anything organic. i would rather eat cancer right out fo the jar...

oh, so it is the crude stereotype game we're playing here.

well then, in that case i would never be a conservative, because they are so dumb half of them don't even know they're gay.

also, you may want to re-read your own article. they can't pin this on organic vs. non-organic.

So what you are saying is, i will not smoke or consume my organic plant in the near future cause it is ORGANIC?

This is a strange thread.

In a way we can say the Germans are much more trade unionist and they can legally drink beer at lunch but does that make Germans lefties?

No need to answer.

i have to comment on this.

the choice between organic vs. inorganic has less to do with your political inclinations than it does with your dietary requirements.

you don't have to spray manure on your food to get infected with e-coli.

manure is the most commonly used fertilizer in the farming industry. most 'non-organic' foods use manure as their main fertilizer source anyways, the majority of chemicals coming in the way of pesticides. the main difference between organic vs. non-organic farming is that non-organic farming isn't afraid to use chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides, that doesn't mean that natural 'manure' fertilizer isn't used.

that is all.

Its good to use manure on your gardens......But you have to make sure it is properly composted first...then Wash your veggies thoroughly before eating them. My wife had E-Coli 8 yrs ago from contaminated baby spinich...She was sick for a Month

yep, if you do use manure around your edibles, make sure that shit cooks in for a while. or, just don't do it. save it for your roses and other flowers.

jeff thats just messed up you wanna go on what is practically a farmers forum and hate on us and support big pharma, monsanto, and shit wtf, troll thread or are you serious?

Its shit like this when people lose their jobs how is this right in any way whatsoever?

I beleive you are christian so heres another one for ya...How is food and medicine produced in gods way impure?

As a conservative, You know its shit like this that prevents small business from growing.

As a human being, How can you not support the peoples right to be in charge of our food, know exactly how its produced, and know exactly what is in it?

Total effing humanitarian issue here - and jeff your opinion on this is purely evil and wrong.

As a Liberal, How could you support the treatment of animals and and the conditions at these plants, terrible regulation.

As an entrepreneur, Do you not wish to grow your own food/herbs or make a business doing so? Isn't buying even a single cow or chicken or growing a large garden a great opportunity to save money?

I support monsanto. GM food 4tw! You can try to pry my grapples out of my cold dead hand!

Sure, companies who experiment with new food creation science are going to fuck up every once in a while, but progress isn't always pretty. GM food could potentially eliminate world hunger and increase food safety. I'm all for it.

The only reason I use organics is because I like the final results they produce. Organics is a science that I completely support as well. I believe once we have mastered the soil food web it will replace chem ferts entirely for outdoor growing.

I'm a progressive, not a liberal. I support progress in the forms of GM good and organic soil! I've love to take some GM cannabis and grow it with organic fertilization!

@ Jeff - organics can be completely safe. It's only when companies cut corners to increase profits that they become unsafe.

i love to hear libs talk to themselves.... need a job?
i love to see you fail jeff, I really do.

and i have a job, thanks. not the best job ever but it pays my bills and my buds so i'm good.

and let me say it again, in case you didnt' catch it last page:

most of the stuff that makes vegetables and fruits not earn the organic seal is pesticides and preservatives sprayed on the food. the most cost-effective fertilizer on earth is manure.

you're welcome. taught you something

I put a bunch of cow shit in my garden this spring, 1200 pounds of it. Of course I don't actually apply it to the plants and the cows are grass fed so the E-Coli of that Corn fed strain doesn't even exist.
