Day 14 of 12/12

Took the ladies out on the porch and gave them a good feeding and watering yesterday.

I have started training Q2's daughter in a circular pattern during flower, she as wanted to spread her wings.

I also removed the ring from Q2 and reinstalled placing all branches that were in side the ring to the outside of the ring, giving me more open space inside the plant, and hey I did not break a single branch, yippy!

They are both doing well, buds forming nicely. Q2 has grown over 10 inches since beginning of flower. I am learning that I need to be watered and feed more often, at least every other day and the minimum. Thinking I am turning on the UV light today.

So here are some pics from 11/10 and 11/11.

Note the height of the overall plant, the facing side is where one half of the mainline broke off and I let it form two new shoots to replace the one that broke. those branches are much smaller that the true mainline shoots. Really show the difference in a true mainline vs. an attempt at a true one.Q2 face on 11-10-13.jpg (125.93 KiB) Not viewed yet

This is one branch of the 7 major and 3 minor branches of Q2, the minor branches are 8 to 10 inches shorter than the major branches. not sure if I can do any thing about them now. Just going to let it grow out.Q2 top foot 11-11-13.jpg (93.66 KiB) Not viewed yet

LOL I have 3. One hanging just above lights, then another at the canopy, and one at the bottom of the room. I had extras so its nice to have, use them to compare and see if the temp is correct also kind of self calibrating, I have 2 of the same brand and one other brand. Also know for sure where the humidity in the room lies... I just like being sure, for sure lol. Some thermometers might be off and you only have 1 and you never compare or notice it ya know.

Just had to post on this date, 11/12/13, won't get another chance to do that.

Took the ladies out for a feeding this afternoon, things are looking ok.
Since I repositioned the tomato rings on Sunday the center has filled in already, growing well.

Tighten Q2's daughters branches to further increase lighting space around the plant.and repositioned the plants in the cabinet. No more trimming except maybe remove some fan leaves if needed.

Fed with 1120 ppm, 6,62 pH soaked them both well. I notice that Q2 uses more H2O than her daughter by about a .25. I am still watering them both at the same time, hope I am not over watering the daughter.
Temp and RH has been nice lately.
Lights on 79 to 82 degrees, 48 to 52% RH
Lights off 68 to 71 degrees, 58 to 61% RH

Pictures.

What do you feel would be the best grow method for my 6.25 sq ft cabinet? Only looking at two grows a year, starting seed in July, harvest in Nov., start seeds in Sept harvest in January.

I have a seed bank of:
5 - White Widow feminized
3 - Ice feminized
5 - Afghan ?
10 Free LOL, who knows?

I am totally open to suggestions. Thinking a Hempy grow, 4 plants in 5 gallon, only need enough for my med needs, would never sell, but do like to get high also, LOL

...and stay fucked!

Good to see you Nugs, and with the thunder you always bring.

I see that grow and I know that I will get over my gotta grow
everything phase and give my ladies some room. That canopy
just looks so healthy.

Onward and upward,

JD

one question
So after you have the (8 )or however many mains you choose you snip any off shoots, but leave fan leaves so that buds still form along the branches.
I am guessing the removal of the fans is the only difference with respect to the under-carriage and its being totally bald?

Day 18 of 12/12

I am fairly sure that this leaf curl is from too much N, but what do you think? SME, we discussed this the other day and we decided to give the higher ppm rate a try. Time to back off. Not seeing any tip burn at this time.

I watered and fed yesterday, nutes the past two feedings have been 1250 to 1350 ppm, pH 6.2 to 6.4.
My plan is to flush very well my next watering, which I hope I can hold out till Saturday, but if not will do it tomorrow. I will soak flush, submerge the fabric pots completely in pH'ed rain water, may not need to pH it, as of late it has been in the low 6's. I will set it on a screen and let it drain completely and then repeat a few time with fresh rain water each time. I will be checking the ppm and pH of the rinse-ate and continue to flush until I get a low ppm and a pH of around 6. Hope it rains this weekend, only have about 30 gallons of rain water left in my tubs.
After this is done and drained well they will go back in the cabinet with no nutes this run.

Tell me please if I should do something different!

Thanks

Ice is a sure winner of frosty dankness. My second vote would be WW.
