Sugar is cheap and produces a consistent amount of ethanol with minimal cleanup. Very few essences get used here anymore as my consumption is negligible. We can't get any ethanol above 76%abv, which is ok for green dragon and stinging nettle tinctures, but for QWET I prefer the 94%abv. Plus for about $20 one can make a gallon.

There is no danger with the Turbo 500 as it uses electricity and not an open flame to heat the mash. Cold water flow control for the condenser is the trickiest part of the entire operation.

Or one could filter the mash @20%abv and add juice and carbonated water to make coolers/iced tea/apple pie, etc. With the cost of alcohol being 83% tax here, I can't believe more don't run a still or make home brew.

That would work, I'd make a nice lime margarita with salt but would need mix, perfect on hot day.

If you need me to be explicit, yes I have ingested the whole holy sacrament of the followers of The Sacred Capybara, Mel be his name. As well, I can confirm intoxicating effects have presented themselves.

100 mg as directed by a man in a lab coat "recommending" I try cannabis for chronic everything.

Especially the chronic amount fucks I have to give for this world and it's direct proportion to the limited measures I can take to make meaningful change in my community and world. Maybe throw in a little bit of consumerist leftist guilt about the retaliative ease I make purchasing decisions based on low cost and ease of acquisition, despite it allowing for the continued exploitation of people who I would consider my soco-economic peers and allies. Not to mention all the other problematic steps that it took to get to this state, at least IMHO, FWIW.

But anyways, sorry, not sorry.
