Blaze & Daze

Ooh, my holter monitor is here. Yay, I get to not shower properly for a week... in the damn summer... Can I just have a robot heart? I can handle my chest beeping occasionally. That's even kinda my thing!
"If standard Holter monitoring doesn't find an irregular heartbeat, you may need to wear a device called an event monitor. The device records heartbeats over several weeks."
From Mayo Clinic, they say the holter is only used a couple days.

My test is for a week. Maybe holter isnt the right word and its an event monitor. I didn't open the box yet, I was on my way out. I'll do an unboxing in a few! Lol. As long as my ssn isn't like plastered on it, lol

We listen to the calm app at the end of day. It's meditation of sorts, primarily focusing on the breath. It's been a game changer but ymmv.
I follow along with a guided breathing program that fitbit has, it's nice because it shows you how your heartbeat and respiration are responding because its connected to a fitness tracker! Breathing exercises are amazing for slowing down your thoughts

Weed keeps the nightmares away! bongsmilie
Exactly. That's a primary reason for me to consume it. That, plus helps to tolerate others. Took a 2 month tolerance break (longest in 40 years) earlier this year - ended up with ghoulish nightmares, although a pacifist, I ended fighting some people in my sleep and she was on the receiving end of some kicks and a punch to the chest. Sorry dear, believe me now!

Uhh, you have scrambled eggs for breakfast?

I took tylenol pm last night after not being able to sleep well this week. Is this what you guys do? Just fucking teleport from 10 to 6? Wtf. Feels weird as hell. I don't think I've slept through a full night in years...

My post was just Jeff's wording in reverse. I teleport from 6am to about noon, then a 90 minute to 2 hour nap sometime later in the day. Sorry to hear about your insomnia, I went through that a lot in my 20s. It is a real bitch. Hope you find something that helps you sleep better...

None of my summer at home lounging shorts have big enough pockets to carry 2 phones. Maaaan. The thing is also heavy. My ass is gonna be hanging out in the yard at fetch time... Its like a smartphone that has a rock for a battery.

You have to carry that receiver around? When I had my heart monitor for 2 weeks a few years ago, the monitor would store data continuously, and if its receiver wasn't in range or turned on, the monitor would upload its data whenever the receiver was accessible. What kinda rinky-dink device did they give you? I've gotta make an appointment to wear another heart monitor for a couple of weeks for my new cardiologist. I plan to get all my medical stuff done soon before they rip away my medicaid...

Was just trying to be funny D: I read Jeff's words every morning with delight. The man has three great pleasures. Weed, dog hugs, coffee. I wish I could be more like jeff!

I have had insomnia since i was 13. I have had sleep studies done 3 times. Most recently still clear for apnea. I get REM... It's I think just my body being silly and abnormal. I can fully get up and engage with my day for 20 hours if I want, and be fine with 4 hours of sleep. But its boooooooring. I am looking for a part time stocking job in the evenings rn just for something to do, lol. I haven't worked in a few years x.x

My mom always said she found it unsettling that i was a quiet baby at night, but that was in contrast to my older brother who was very colicky.

It says it has to be within 10 feet of me... so I guess outside during fwtch i can hang near the porch and set it down. But if I go shopping i gotta carry it
