Examples of GOP leadership in big old Texas 1 Disastrous power grid failure a few yrs back,a quick blast of typical winter weather incapacitates the state, a complete indictment of R inaction and deregulation of critical core infrastructure. 2 Children are massacred by a school shooter while a bevy of state/local law enforcement bungle the response and WAIT to enter to eliminate the threat,how many kids would have survived w/prompt action to immediately confront/eliminate the threat which is THE textbook response required and in practice nation-wide,sans Texas apparently. Shocking for such a gun crazed state that whose reputation for "grabbing the bull by the horns" is proudly promoted. 3 Allowing the expansion of children's summer camps in a flood zone DESPITE calls for over-hauling an obsolete warning system for TEN years,a tragedy that could/.should have been avoided. Then Gov. Abbott's response calling probing questions the "talk of losers" and comparing all this to a football team,REALLY !!! Texas is a large state and it's people proud but the folly of R control of state politics across the board has cost it's people several times not to mention it's measles outbreak recently,it's time for punishment at the ballot box, Texas needs forward thinkers who get things done,prayers to the families whose precious children have been lost,a terrible tragedy that could have been avoided w/responsible govt.
