Last update Day 56 Headband x ‘88G13HP

harvested 2.5 oz of seeded weed in my 2x2 tent.
It turned out great! Definitely has that headband taste and effect. Smoking a joint of it takes me back 15 years. View attachment 5350425
My educated guess that I pollinated my G13'88HP x Day 56 Headband with some random male that was growing at a local disc golf course was 100% correct. While reminiscing on my last grow, I saw that I supercropped 2 hours after man-handling that random male.

The male I pulled outside was directly next to a female so I am hoping this was a guerrilla outdoor breeding project and I'll maybe end up with some neat cross and not a headband hemp plant. My plan is to flower from seed and see what happens.

I planted three and got 2 males.
I plan to write a proper update soon.

I wasn’t planning on keeping any males but one of my males is a dead ringer for garlic pickle so I’m going to try my hand at pollen collecting and then Chuck it at Kali Mist x Everything, Purple Lemon Thai, and maybe the Nepali WHP. The whp is slow to flower rn. Also, I don’t know if garlic pickle watermelon would be any good lol.

Questionfor the board:
Is there likely multiple dads or only one dad per pack? Just curious if I cross my male and female mist plants if they would be f2 or not.

I’ll write a proper update, probably after I try pollination.

quarantined pickle Kali mist male. Any helpful tips or things you wish you’d known for collection pollen? I’m reading Marijuana Botany right now.
This is my 2nd grow.
POLLINATION DAY!

The Garlic Pickle x Kali Mist male had some performance anxiety. We took some of the mature male pods and put them on parchment and I was able to get some pollen. I will keep the male isolated and alive for another round of pollination.

We started by opening a container of pollen from 7eastgenetics. We brushed the watermelon dragon pollen on the Nepali Watermelon Hash Plant, the Kali Mist, and the Purple Lemon Thai.

Since Pickle Rick is late to drop pollen, we placed the most developed pollen pods on some parchment paper. This pollination got personal as I rubbed the pods with my meaty claws and then rubbed the pistils.

I'm keeping the male alive for another week and plan to do the pollinations again.

I have high hopes, but this is only my second grow and my first time intentionally making seeds.

List of Progeny:

Kali Mist X Garlic Pickle Dad:
Purple Lemon Thai
Nepali Watermelon Hash Plant (Melon Mother, Rotten Melon Patch Mom)
Kali Mist Mom

My second most impressive Nepali WHP was a male and I have a top of him sitting in a window and am hoping he drops pollen eventually.

First pollination was a lot of fun. I'm excited for the future.

I AM GETTING A SHIRE CUT OF SSSDH AND WOULD LOVE TO CROSS IT WITH SUNSHINE DAYDREAM. IF ANYONE HAS MALE POLLEN, F2 SEEDS, OR A CUT THEY'D BE WILLING TO SHARE, YOU COULD MAKE MY DREAM OF MY PERFECT STRAIN HAPPEN! And of course I would give many many seeds.

Thanks all, You are all awesome.

If you're in the states I'm sure some bird seed could find its way to you.. I'm on OG as well if you are there.

Keeping it Bodhi related here's a Triple Sunshine mother being pollinated by a bee carrying a mix of 2 different Triple Sunshine males

It's got nothing to do with hating. Bee's are responsible for the grandmother's and father's of all our strains. It was off-putting seeing that for a few reasons. Ya know there's a decline in bees, right? We're all fucked we lose them. Hopefully it wasn't killed when a 75 cent paint brush could have been used.
2see has beautiful plants. I'm not hating on those. At all. :peace:

Both Cocoon seeds are sprouted ( sooner than the newer Lucky Wookies, I'll add) had one runt outta three LW but it looks like it's coming around. White afghanis are in the cloner and will be moved up to flower in 6 weeks or so.

I didn't know the decline in bees was directly linked to gluing dead ones to sticks.

Its definently better for the environment to buy cheap disposable plastic.
