Day 55. Plant #1.

I figured I was pushing the top dressing. A little burn it looks like.

I'm sure they will be fine.. How could you correct something like that with all the food already being in the soil? That's what worries me with organics ... well the mixing my own soil part. Though I have already begun hoarding things I've heard people using. I'm going to give it a shot sooner or later.

We're those readings from the temp gun in your flower space? I didn't go to check my vpd numbers, but I was sitting at 73F with leaf temps at 75.6F RH was about 52% I think. I didn't write it down like I usually do.

Ya, I overdid it a bit with top dressing. Now it's just plain water until the end.

And ya, I check both the closet and tent with the gun. I was kinda surprised with the results. My humidity is really low, so my leaves transpire more than normal probably.

I got that same gun recently. Do I understand correctly that you use the leaf temp to calculate VPD and not the temp from a hanging sensor at canopy height?

Can really see the buds leaning over with weight in the last shots.

I'm not sure actually. I don't usually check my VDP. I know it's always crazy high with my RH. That's a good question though. I would guess you go by ambient temp, but that's totally just a guess.

If I were to take a guess without looking anything up, I’d guess they all play their role. Ambient temps, humidity + LST in range.. which I heard should be just a tad lower than our ambient temps in order for the leaves to transpire efficient.

Day 64. I figured I was pushing it with the top dressing. Crispy critters, lol. Not a big deal though. Just experimenting with new stuff (the DTE 4-4-4 and 4-8-4, not sure I like it). And I want to have all the plants chopped and jarred by the end of May so I can take a little break this summer.

I'll probably chop the more burned one on the right this Saturday. Then the other one on the left the following Sat. Then my tents plants the next 2 Saturdays after that. I keep saying I'm gonna take the summer off, then I say screw it. I'm gonna try hard not to do that once again,

Don't go blaming just the DTE now, I seem to remember a bunch of langbenite, kelp, guano, and some other organic goodies tossed on there too. I've found that just plain DTE and water seems to be foolproof for me. I haven't tried to add any extras yet like EWC which I'm going to next grow but that's all I think it needs other than some magnesium for the strains that are hungry. I'd still smoke the hell out of those buds by the way, not much on leaves anyway. I've been saying I was going to take the summer off for 5 years and one year I just might do it. Hope you get your vacation but there's just so many damn seeds to plant:bigjoint:

Oh I know. I went a little crazy,. I'm not surprised at all I burned them. I don't blame the DTE fully. I added chicken manure, bokashi, Karanja meal, and who knows what else too. I barely added any extra Langbeinite so that's not it. And kelp is pretty mild. EWC won't cause burn either. My tent I didn't give the final top dressing that I gave these guys and they look better.

One of these days I'll get my soil checked so I know just what's actually in it. I know it's not pretty, but I like to show my failures as well as my successes. I knew the bk crew was gonna talk shit, but haters gonna hate, :bigjoint:

Same with me, I show my friends my good pics and my ones that I have no idea what's going on. Since I went with DTE and dropped salt nutes though I've had way less serious issues. Maybe a little tip burn from using small fabric pots but it's what I have and I'm broke so it's what gets used for now. The simplicity of it is great for someone that's disabled, just water and every couple weeks a few scoops of amendments and some Recharge. My hands can get pretty shaky sometimes and drawing liquid nutes up with a syringe was a mess daily. Now my goal is to eventually work up to real living soil. Baby steps first though.

My soil is more than 3 1/2 years old now. I don't have it all figured out, but I'm learning.

I reused soil straight from old pots 2 grows ago that have been sitting on the rack in the garage. I’m surprised my tent isn’t infested with whatever’s out there. It could also be why my plants look like they got the green slapped off them lol I’m glad it’s almost over.

More likely you didn't stay ahead of the game with this organic shit. I obviously went a little too far this time though, :bigjoint:.

Your's just look like they wanted a little more food sooner. But they look way better than this batch.

I was using Foop. I was feeding every watering. I ran out.. was not buying more to finish the run when I had other fertilizer available. Maybe I didn’t hit them as hard as I should have at the switch. It’s cool tho. I’ll have a second go with each of them. Same cuts.
