Tesla New Model Unveil...

“…Every solar Powerwall installation that the house or apartment or whatever the case may be, will be its own utility,” he said. “And so even if all the lights go out in the neighborhood, you will still have power. So that gives people energy security. And we can also, in working with the utilities, use the Powerwalls to stabilize the overall grid

What if it is all one big troll.

Tesla never really delivered anything but a lot of light shows right? He drove Edison to work harder and eventually bring power to every home (basically) here in America.

What if Musk is basically doing the same thing, and that is why he named his company "Tesla"?

Actually, Tesla left this world after inventing many technologies that were at the time revolutionary. The Tesla coil enabled the growth of the electronics industry including the radio. So, it's not as if he was some hype man selling false hope and belief. And, he got it wrong when it came to DC-based power delivery systems. so there is that.

That said there is plenty of hype surrounding Tesla the company. That battery wall. It's nice, (I guess) but mostly just vapor ware. As this article said, their battery specs and costs make it look attractive until the nitty gritty details are factored in. After that, not so much.

Is the Tesla Powerwall worth it?
In our opinion, the Powerwall battery itself is the best home battery for solar storage because it gives you great advanced features and technical specs for the lowest price possible.

But, is the Powerwall worth it? To be honest, not really.

Unfortunately, Tesla’s decision to only sell Powerwalls with new solar panel installations makes it much harder for homeowners to get their hands on one, which is a huge letdown for a few reasons.

First, homeowners who already have solar panels and want to install a battery can no longer get a Powerwall.

Second, when it comes to solar installations, Tesla is notorious for having poor after-sales service. So now, if homeowners want a Tesla Powerwall, they run the risk of dealing with the subpar customer service that Tesla has been known for. And that’s not just when you’re getting the system installed, it’s a problem you’ll have to deal with over the lifetime of the solar panels - a whole 25 years!

But it's not smoke and mirrors. Somebody will end up profiting from Tesla's innovation. Maybe Tesla, maybe the company that buys them after they go bust.

Im just messing around, I love Tesla (the guy). The Musk cult stuff though is cool (I don't really care much about him), and I actually hope I am completely wrong about him.

But do think he needs to put up, and is just living off tax payer money (and maybe patents) and not really doing anything that is tangible from my one single perspective.

I'm not sure what tax payer money your talking about but i doubt Elon has ever received a dime for new oil exploration like the fossil fuel companies get.

I don't know anything about this source, but this is what I figured would be there if I scratched the surface.

Im sure he is milking China too.
those communities are concerned about climate change and our future. And interested in local jobs creation. Every manufacturer in the world seeks cost effective locations to set up shop. Investing in green jobs for their communities is an investment in their own future, not a grift....Tesla haters are weird...

and these aren't even American companies....
Volkswagen Chattanooga Assembly Plant

Volkswagen invested approximately one billion U.S. dollars to construct the facility, with local, state, and federal governments subsidizing the project with an estimated $577 million in incentives.[20] Alabama had offered Volkswagen incentives of $385 million, the most the state had ever offered for an auto project. Mississippi offered incentives totaling $294 million to Toyota in 2007 for an assembly plant at Blue Springs. Kia received about $324 million in incentives from Georgia.[30] Volkswagen had researched 398 possible sites before narrowing the choice to the states of Michigan, Alabama, and Tennessee

So by my saying that I will wait to convert to the Musk cult until he start producing shit that I can actually buy and it works and is fully adopted, while pointing out that Musk has used billions in American tax payer money (which he has paid very little relative to most Americans) makes me a 'Tesla hater'?

Personally, I'm more bothered by the actions of Enron's older board members.

Tesla is a target of vulture capitalists who like to publish the very same kind of crap that Putin does. I'll just do what you do and say it right now. You've been radicalized and I'll bore you with walls of text until you stop objecting.

FFS I better hurry then :o! Why 65??? I still can drive rather well and I don’t see that changing in 4-5 years :(!
Sorry Bud! That was a typo . I meant 70. I met this 91 year old guy the other day that bragged about his new Bentley and how fast it is and going 100 mph on the highway accidentally because it purrs like a cat and he has no idea he is going that fast . That car is a fucking beast and he was bat shit crazy . He was going through like an end of life breakdown and told me he had so much money saved up and he wanted to spend it before he dies. That is just not right, he is endangering others using that car like a tank.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — There are more than 250,000 jobs available in Tennessee right now, but only 3% of the jobs posted, pay $20,000 or more. The federal poverty line for a family of three is just under $22,000.
