I have them up in the attic. Once I realized what was happening, I elavated the pots the seedlings were in and missed the fact that the bastards could run up some cords I had near by. OMG They were two weeks along. Here I go again. Thats about 5 weeks now they have screwed me up. Someone mentioned setting mouse traps. Whats a good bait to use and how will this keep them from going after my babies that they seem to love so much?

I have to put some kind of mesh or chicken wire up to keep them out. Anyone with ideas on whats best to use to keep the mice from getting to them again?

Mouse traps with peanut butter and cheese is the best option.

Mice will chew through mesh and crawl through or over chicken wire.

Mice are gross! and could carry anything into your grow. I would be more worried about having rats in my attic than them eating my plants! Call an exterminator! then at least put up some plastic walls!

FFS. This happened to me for the first time. I'm already struggling to get my seeds out the soil, I brought them inside from the cold In morning when I checked how they were doing, one seedling was fucking dugged up as it was making its way up out the soil

get one of those friendly noise making plugs, you just plug it in a socket and it emits a clicking sound that drives the mice crazy

Get a cat, snap traps. Better yet get some Golden Malrin and mix with peanut butter and/or coke, or any other food source they eat. Will kill them right at the bowl. Beware though, this stuff is toxic and will kill anything that comes in contact with it, including pets. So keep out of areas with pets and kids. Wear gloves.

Tomcat makes a liquid lure that works insanely well for baiting a trap for field mice... killed something like 14 mice last winter with that stuff. I ran into the same problem, but elevating the plants seems to have helped.
