Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

On mine, it lists my name and QP ID. The next lines are Caregiver: NONE, Caregiver ID#: NONE. Not sure what that means.
Do you have a caregiver?
I'm not sure if the caregiver shows up on your card or if their card would say QP ID: None.

Applied early January using the online application, got my provisional paper the first day they released them, but my status on the "Verify Registration" link using the QP number on my provisional was "Inactive" for a long time until today when I checked and it switched over to "Active." Has anyone seen if this means that they processed my application for the final card, or does this not mean much in the scheme of things?

As an update, was able to get through to IDPH today and they confirmed that yesterday I was approved and will be receiving the actual card (not the paper) from Pennsylvania soon, so I'm happy! :)

My friend and I are going to Zen Leaf in St. Charles on Tuesday. It's received a lot of good reviews so we shall see. Is there anyone on this site who's been there and/or would be willing to recommend some products they have found to be good at relieving pain. I'm getting the impression that the gummy bears are not popular but vaping sounds interesting to me. Is there the tell-tale smell when you vape? Do you have to buy accesories in order to vape?

Can't speak to Zen Leaf, but as for vaping, you do usually get a slight smell from vaping that's recognizable, but it's not as strong as smoking flower, and it depends on the exact type of oil you get (some smell stronger than others). The minimum you need to start vaping is just the battery, cartridge, and charger. Anything beyond that is really optional, and you can get upgrades to those sorts of things, but I would just stick with the basics until you're sure that vaping will work for you. If you get a 510 threaded battery, that's pretty much universal these days and you'll be able to use most cartridges with it.

Friend in PA worries about her kids smelling it. Dry herb vaping smells too much for her (I think she was burning it either with too high of a temperature or just going too long judging from discussions). She loves liquid vaping.

I've never been to zen leaf, but did compare them to a few other dispensaries and it didn't seem like they had as many options... look at the north aurora dispensary. They have a bunch of good deals every week from what i'm told. Let us know how zen leaf is though.

Hey
Just thought I would share my experience so far getting the medical marijuana card in Illinois.

It took nine phone calls on nine different days to get somebody to answer my call. I was told they received my application August 25, 2017 this was 39 working days ago 7 1/2 weeks total.

The only information they will release to you about your application is the date that they have received it. I did ask approximately how far backlogged they are. I was told 60 working days or 12 weeks until they get to applications. I was told the day they review your application it’s approved or denied that same day. if it’s approved it’s mailed to the DMV and other agencies to be printed and that could take approximately 10 to 14 business days or 3 weeks.

Long story short It’s October 18, 2017 and it takes approximately start to finish according to the secretary 10 to 11 weeks. And they are just falling further and further behind.

1) The state is understaffed and has no sure fire procedure to Efficiently process applications.

2) It is impossible to get a hold of anybody or get any sort of response as to what’s going on with your application.

3) I had to drive almost 3 hours to find a doctor.

I know this is just a pilot program and there’s a lot of kinks to be worked out but there’s plenty of other states that have developed efficient ways to handle those why is Illinois being so stubborn. It doesn’t take over three months to get antidepressants or hard-core pain killers.

Can’t Illinois be good at anything for crying out loud we’re already one of the most laugh at states across the board.

Patience is a virtue I suppose.

Sincerely
A agitated resident of Illinois.
Just go to your local dispensary and they will help you through the whole process. I went in to dispensary 33 in Chicago and he helped me with scanning all the forms and dr. authorization and paid the fee for the card and was sent an approval in my email the next day to print out and take to your dispensary in 24 hours to purchase till the actual card comes. So much easier.

Never been, download the leafly app. It shows dispensaries near you and you can search different strains that shows medical benefits, and reviews on strains

It's too late since they cashed your check already, but I got my pic from Walgreens and had no issues with it. Try calling tomorrow and asking if the one you sent is good
I got the photos from Walgreens. I really want to call or email them to see where my application process at. I have patience but the pain say different.

Have not been there. PDI just up the road has a loyalty program and also classes free that give 10% off coupons. And a Cresco Concentrate buy 10 get one free. For Popcorn Bud, Earthmed in Addison $250 ounces, 10 Strains. I refuse to buy Buds From PDI or Mundelein Clinic, way too over priced... as in $320,with only 2 choices.

I would recommend doing a Free consult at PDI. They spent an hour with Me. No obligation to Be their patient. Probably 10 minutes from H.Park. Rick Simpson Oil is a basic thing that gets Cannabanoids entrenched in you. They have good classes also. Free.
