Ganja & Fitness - Before, After or Both

Do you prefer to get high before or after your workout? Or both?

I find that getting high before my workout prevents me from working out optimally. Either I lose focus, or compromise form, don't push as hard as I should, etc. For this reason I only get high post workout and I find it's the perfect post workout routine for rest, recovery and diet (for me at least). Anyone else have a say on this?

It depends on how your body responds to cannabis. It grnerally gives me a stimulating effect so I don’t mind wokring out while high but given I only smoke when I do get high, it’s not ideal for lung funciton.

What kind of workouts do you do? Weights, HIIT, cardio, yoga? I guess workout type may impact people's responses. I'm usually on weights, cardio and occasionally basketball. I really need to get into some pilates or something like that. For me, getting high afterwards is even ideal after a light walk or hike.

I have some friends who get high to go on walks, play disc golf and light stuff like that. I'm definitely not against that but I guess I just don't benefit the same way they do. So I patiently wait to savor that green green goodness :weed:

I run 3-6 miles a day last mile and a half is HIIT. I run in a weight vest as well. After that I light the heavys for awhile. I only smoke at night to sleep and even then I vape only. Be careful of overtraining though I’m currently taking a break due to working out so much my resting heart rate sits at 39-42 bpm lol. While that’s good you can end up with permenate bradycardia.

I’m actually a veteran i use exercise to help with anxiety and such. I’m definitely not stress free. Blood pressure 125/72 is decent it’s all I what you do and eat. I have loads of issues but excerise an cannabis are my keys to keep me from losing it lol.

I too notice a direct correlation... Exercise and smoke keep me balanced too. Without either I get pretty restless. Not a d!ck or anything, just can't get contempt.

Respect Brother! I am a Vet too and learned that hard, intense workouts are absolutely vital.

Being an Old Vet I find that a few puffsbongsmilie before workout helps me not be bored on the bike which I start with. It also helps me focus on completing my 3X on each machine. My VA doc always seems surprised that I'm not FAT! :razz:
I'm a year older than Trump, one inch shorter and 100 lbs lighter than the Lumpy Dumpling:-D

Workout? I'm a hiker, I don't work out. Now as far as walking is concerned, I like to burn one a mile or so into a hike, then repeat as needed. Smoking before I get started tends to make getting started a lot slower.

Bingo but I hate carrying my vape pen on my walk/run and joints require to much fucking with. I took a hit of SSH and I'm having trouble motivating my ass out of my house.

I agree do whatever works best for you but the results of the poll are starting to get interesting now. Need. More. Votes!!!

I tried it once before... Ended up leaving the gym in 5 mins, bought a pizza and watched netflix. So, definitely after lol

Depends, it's nice to medicate before cardio but for weight lifting I find it reduces my strength and focus so I partake afterwards
