how long does it take for a pollinated plant to produce seed

after a plant has been polinated how long does it to take for a seed to form inside the bud? And also after being polinated is it possible for any further minor development in the bud even after being cut down? Which then leads to the question .. if a plant had been pollinated and then were to be cut down instantly will that stop seeds from forming? Hmm sorry if this question is dumb and has offended anyone..

If you throw males in with females at flip, you'll he mature seeds at the 8-9week Mark. Also. Yes, cutting a plant down will stop it from photosynthesis and isn't really "dead" until it's dried out.

Agreed. I have never had the opportunity to see what will happen but a chopped pollinated plant could make tiny little white poppers... Not sure how long they take to form.

So basically theoretically speaking if a plant was pollinated around harvest then you could still potentially save the bud by cutting it down and drying it out?? Or does something else happen to the bud, like chemical breakdown etc.. or is the bud saveable? Very curious

As long as it doesn't get those little white seedlets starting I would think it would be fine. Thing is I don't know if they form in 2 days or 10.

If your hairs are orange and your within a week from harvest, ita not going to be a problem. Chop it down though

If buds get pollinated a week or two before harvesting it's going to hit potency and yield but you won't get seeds. How big a hit depends on how many flowers actually get knocked up.

Thanks for the info guys its good to know that even after pollination theres still some what of a chance to save the bud by cutting down. Would be a hard thing to miss a male or hermie in a small grow but still if it ever happened its good to know it dosent have to be a total waste!

If you have a girl that starts throwing balls early in flowering the get rid of that!

If you see 'nanners late in flowering they may pollinate any still ripe female flowers and if harvested within the next two weeks there will just be tiny seed buds that won't be noticed when smoked. Four weeks in and even small seeds will blow up in your face. Taste like crap too. ;)
