Me too but I put ~3/8" holes right under the lip at the top of the soon to be upside down cup. Less light to +1 my seeming talent for getting algae to grow.

I think starting shallow can get you secondary roots sooner. Any idea if this is actually effective in getting more roots faster?

Cupdate, week 4 my party cup homies! Word of the week on cups and in the watermark.

Started LST this week. Halved the upper leaves on No.1 and 3 and No.2 got her main bend down into the vertical to promote twig growth. Seems to work like intendend..

No.1 ~7" high, 7 true nodes, preflowers since yesterday
No.3 has 4,5" currently and also 7 nodes(incl. tip), preflowers since yesterday
No.2 has only ~3,5" till now but a nice an even canopy. No preflowers, seems I still have a bit time to choose the winner plant.

Currently I tend to No.3 just because of her perfect shape. In the best case there is no need for more LST and I hate using plant jojos. The strain used is a random cross of unstabilized Amnesia and Bluedream genetic so there are a few different phenos in the F1. The Bluedream "father" hermied a bit and was an extremely stretchy sativa.

No.2 has a bit more indika from recessive genes and grows much slower. Too slow for my taste and the holy trinity mutation is also already dissapeared cuz the new growth looks normal.

~30klx or 450μMol/s/m² currently...

So here's the rest..

As they have preflowers I've increased to ~700ppm and 3 feedings á ~50ml per day. Runoff is sucked up 10 mins later with the fat enema syringe I've loaned from my grandma.. She got my water pump until than.

They also get a foliar feeding 2 times the week (since week 3) with kelp or horsetail extract and added EM.
Other additives are humidic acids and aminos and I also add EM in every 2nd. nute mix to innoculate the rootzone with useful bacteria.

Well, guys! That's it!
