So i came home last night looked at my girls an saw this......20190116_064905.jpg i just switched from led to 1000w hps on this grow. With led id feed and water once a week. Well with this new light there drinking waaay more. I just filled buckets 4 days ago and by the looks of the plants its been outta water at least 24 hrs. So drinking around 4 gallons every 3 days...thats crazy...anyways i filled buckets last night at 8pm 12 1/2 hours later they look the same. Anything i can do to help em out. Or will it just take a couple days to purk back up. Useing dynagrow bloom..silica..and cyco b1 boost...flipped 2 weeks ago. Thx for any help i dont wanna lose em.

You may try giving them a good misting every few hours to help them get some water through the leaves and see if the roots recover. Id imagine that a lot of the roots have died off but you may be able to save them although they would be stunted for a while. If you have a dimmable light, dim it.

I do have dimmable light...after i watered them i put my hand in and the roots feel good still white. Im not sure if its the new light or the b1 boost but i have mega root mass on these plants. Ive never been able to get roots like this before but im confident there still in good shape. Im gonna mist also is that better to do with lights on or off?

Id mist with the lights on but it's ok in the dark as long as there is adequate ventilation. You just don't want them sitting wet for a long time.

Try misting like renfro suggested but i gotta be honest, this has happened before and sadly, you're pretty much done for.
Tje roots are still nice and white dont feel like they dried out at all. There was maybe an inch of water when i realized it . i think it just might take a couple days to purk back up

Well let's hope for your sake that you're right and they aren't dead. If the leaves have wilted to where the petiole is soft, it's game over.

Yeah im blowed away by the difference between my last grow with led and this one with the hps. I didnt use the b1 boost or silica last time so not sure if its the new light giving me all the roots or a combo of that and nutes either way im gonna do it the same next time

I've also found with topping and more controlled growth i.e removal of branches I deem unworthy the roots will grow considerably three ladies and the one I fimmed the shit out of has a 3 gallon bucket shaped root ball and the b1 and silica may have something I'd have to look back into their benefits can't remember offhand but a question how does the foliage and plant growth look compared to your led grow I assume same genetics just curious about your results

I agree with you grow your way. Plants are pretty tough. The roots that reach the bottom will still be able to drink till the very end. and keep the rest of the root out of the water alive. I have had plants in much worse condition and they bounced back within hours. The next day i was unable to tell it happened at all. Post an update photo, im curious how well it bounces back. best of luck. And check on the plants a little more regularly.

What I'm curious about is if it affects yield later on I feel as if it might if you don't veg for long periods to allow the plant to fully maximize recovery
