Pump issues on new system, not sure where to go from here

@fragileassassin why's your pumps motor spun 180*? Ita not turned all the way.
they attach either direction by design, they have a bunch of different attachments for them i guess. I just had it that way because it was easier to get the motor on and off the head while messing with it. It did all the same stuff with the motor facing the other way.

My 800s got here today, I went ahead and put one on there.
Smaller pump head on those so i had to take a bunch of stuff apart and piece together all my fittings.
The 800 still did the same thing to an extent. It wasnt as loud, but it still did it and there wasnt enough flow for 12 buckets. It wasnt agitating the water at all.

The 800s are perfect for the big system though, exactly where I wanted the flow on there.
Should give my chiller a little bit of a break.

You will get it sorted either way.
Your system is going to be a winner anyway. That drain system is legit. I like good PVC work.
Thanks! Im hopeful of it and trying to stay positive lol
maybe ill be able to get it back to this state when I can afford a fancy jet pump, but i think for now im going to have to figure out how to put a control bucket on it.
I think if I turn the whole system clockwise 90 degrees, I can put a res on the outside of my tent on the left side and use the existing pump piping.

Hmmmm... I wonder where you're pulling in air from...

I
Im going to get a square trash can and put in as a control res and just pump out of that for now.
This is what I would do,how do you control level now though?res needs to be same height I guess.
Sooner or later I’ll do the same. Plants on the floor are just too much work.Hope it works out.

Res just needs to be as high as the sites. It can be wider, taller, or longer. It doesn't matter.

yep, and then id have to cut and glue and buy more fittings to change it all and I wouldnt have a drain valve at the bottom.
It wont be staying like this forever, itll be fine like that for now.

It cost me a $10 trashcan and $3 in fittings to make this change. This is how it had to be done to not have to change half of my feed system again. When we're spending your money, you can come build my system how you want

I see. I would get bothered if it were mine knowing there is a more efficient way is all I'm sayin.

its 1.25" pipe that splits to 1" pipe for a foot or so then Ts into 3/4" pipe down each of the 4 rows with a capped 1/2" elbow sprayer in each bucket. Nearly the same as I set it up in the big system.

3 more feet of pipe isnt making any difference at all to that 1400gph pump.

This way is way more than 3ft.
and the big system has way more..... it has 10+ ft of tubing going to each of the 2 manifolds in there and each manifold is 6 feet long on each side.
yes, it was literally 44" of pipe more now than it was before.
Pressure drop is not an issue at all because of my caps making back pressure.

Right on man. If it works, it works! It'd just bug me.
