i'll admit that Stan Lee wasn't a scientist, he didn't cure cancer, or end world hunger.

he did try to entertain both children and adults, with good stories, that taught good morals and values. he had a charitable foundation that provided books to children, along with artwork and exposure to the arts in general, and supported several other charitable foundations.
he told stories that uplifted, that had heroes who actually were heroes, not "anti heroes", that didn't glorify being a criminal......
bill maher has a show where people are snarky to each other, but no one is as snarky as maher himself. it seems to be a show for maher to showcase that he's smarter than his guests....only problem is, it's not usually true.
being intelligent isn't an excuse for being an asshole. it never has been, and never will be. as a matter of fact, it's pretty much proof to the contrary. smart people don't alienate people they will need to carry out their plans.

people read a comic, or go to a comic based movie, and they have fun, and are exposed to good values.......
people watch bill maher, and they're exposed to hateful, spiteful rhetoric, with little to no value at all......

Next lets compare the Holiday Inn and The Playboy Manson.

im guessing you've never actually watched a Bill Maher show. most of what you said is not an accurate description of Bill Maher, his guests or his show.

i watched 2 episodes....all i could stomach

honestly, my opinion of Maher doesn't have anything to do with his opinions, it's almost entirely a personality issue....the man rubs me the wrong way like stroking a cat from the tail to the nose....with a piece of sandpaper....he seems to be either an ass kissing toad, or a toad expecting his ass to be kissed, depending on who he's talking to....and i don't like either.....never said the guy was stupid.....just an annoying motherfucker
