Looks like you are on your way to a perpetual harvest, lol. Clones are popular for that reason.
Yeah I’m already chomping at the bit here.... like a rabbit hole that never ends. Always improving. Stealth is my key though so I can’t forget where I’m at lol

I'll be running around 36+ plants in flower alone. SOG.
I’m going scrog this time. I’ll end up trying a sea of green one day. Never messed with it since height was never an issue but I like your box design. Was thinking about something similar but having one on top the other.... that’s a topic for another day though. Enjoy your day man. Ttyl. :peace:

Grow them all out, keep a clone of each alive until you smoke each of them. Pick your favorite of the two strains. Those will be your mother plant for those strains. Then grow the rest out and smoke them. You'll now be taking clones of the one you picked from the two best mothers.
Awesome advice right there.

Got the gear!! And beans. Beans are chem dawg femmed and blue cheese femmed. Getting the room built Friday and will run it all over the weekend and start germination on Friday. I’ll set me up a thread for my grow. Any advice you guys can give me along the way will be much appreciated. Especially when it comes to clones. Any good links for GOOD advice for that portion would be helpful.

Nice, I've got some ChemDawg going also from ApeOrigin. It's something they sent me to test out. I guess they don't sell it yet. I have no idea how stable it is, or what it came from yet though.

Here's a little tip I thought I'd put in here.

Some of the ops that I've seen I see people running their ballast flush to the wall.
Your ballast should come with some feet. I guess they think that these are only for if you are not mounting your ballast.20180910_213608.jpg
I'm going to be mounting mine on a wall, so I'll use these.20180910_213634.jpg
Without the feet you can see that the ballast would mount flush up against the wall. 20180910_213644.jpg
Any ballast will get hot and any extra cooling you can provide will extend the life of your ballast.20180910_213729.jpg
It's not a lot of space, but it's better than none. A fan blowing on the ballast will also help keep it cool.20180910_213759.jpg
These rubber feet will also help with noise, although a little vibration will still travel through the mounting screws. Rubber washers on the screws help with that.

Thank you for reading. I hope this helped someone. The ballast used is here.

I got the ballast mounted and began temp tests on the light.

The maiden fire-up.

So, that's a lot of light. If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour... you're gonna see some serious shit. I did a SWAG on the vented hood actually working.
I've got 34" from floor to hood. The bulb is another 4" in the hood. I do have another two inches I could raise the hood, but that'll be nat's ass stuff, lol.
20180911_011027.jpg

So at a theoretical 14" from the bulb my wrist is comfortable at 10" off the hood.
20180911_011156.jpg

At 12" it feels like my arm is in sunlight, comfortably warm. Which is convenient because that's where my canopy is going to run.20180911_011208.jpg

I've been monitoring temps and rh in all 3 rooms, and everything is doing great. I can still get the rooms down to 75, humidity I can get down to 35, so that's awesome. Water temps are holding at 67f.
Now I need to get the floor, walls, ceiling in the ac room, and my hydro built in the flower room. I'll start that tomorrow. I'm running right on time for the auto's to go right in behind me, knock on wood.

I'm pulling out guys.
I've been scratching my head trying to figure out something for the flower room that will actually work. I got to going in crazy hydro directions that would have been pretty cool, but might not have worked, or would have been high maintenance, and that place is a bitch to crawl in and out of.
The only reason I decided to grow stealth in there is so that visitors and family (family stays over pretty often) wouldn't know I grow, they don't even know I smoke. I don't like the stereotype that goes with it in most cases for me, and it's none of their business, really. So, I keep it to myself, and those very close to me.
After looking at what it was going to cost to do something that might not work (plus the cost of putting a floor; walls and a ceiling in there) I took a look at my equipment. If I change plans now I'm only out wood and man hours. I can instead put that money in tents and more equipment. I have the room, so I went ahead and did it. It'll be here Monday.
I'll post a link to the next thread in here that will pick up where this left off.

P.S.
I'm still going to vent my light heat into my garage in the winter. pffft.

I haven't forgotten about this. I've almost got everything good enough. Here is my hydro setup. When I get stuff more organized I'll take some pics. I'm also still putting some last things together. I'll try to compile everything into the new thread.
