No clue. Whos the breeder? So many pollen chuckers there's new strains every week. By the name I'm going to guess it's Slimer X Gorilla Glue?

I have had grapefruit plants make a "goo" glob before.
I've had the odd pheno from my California Hash Plant and my Jamaican Grapes (aka 'Ice') do this in the past but from what I have read about this strain gives me the impression that Pinkmans Goo is genetically predisposed to showing this characteristic and I'd like to get my hands on some seeds so I can play around ... I think it could be an amazing addition to anyones garden let alone for anyone who is into squishing rosin (such as myself)

That would be cool if you are right. When it happened for me I just thought maybe the buds got heat stress or something to cause it. Maybe there is more to it than I thought.

Until I have seeds to test, everything I have wrote here is conjecture

I need to find a source of the genetics and get the beans in my hands so I can test to see if what I have read is true

The CHP has done it twice in the past 6 years and I only saw it once with the Ice (when I originally got the seeds from the blue mountains)

It's just "sap", no THC in it. DJ Shorts moonshine was known to do it from time to time. There have been articles on the subject. Either High Times or Leafly i believe. It's quite the sight, thats for sure. It's called Guttation from what I found.
Thanx for the info

Did a bit of research and this is what I found out .... At night, transpiration usually does not occur because most plants have their stomata closed. When there is a high soil moisture level, water will enter plant roots, because the water potential of the roots is lower than in the soil solution. The water will accumulate in the plant, creating a slight root pressure. The root pressure forces some water to exude (most often) through special leaf tips or edge structures, hydathodes, forming drops. Root pressure provides the impetus for this flow, rather than transpirational ascent. This sap exudate can be clear, tan, brown or even blood red(The red colour is due to haematin compounds and anthocyanin pigments that naturally build up in some varieties; The red colour may also indicate a nutrient deficiency, notably of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, or magnesium) This sap usually contains a variety of organic and inorganic compounds, mainly sugars, and mineral nutrients, and potassium. Upon drying, a white crust remains on the tissue surface. Guttated sap exudates most commonly exude from cannabis, along both sides of the leaf axil, where the petioles attach to the stem. Though Guttations typically exude(in most plants) through modified leaf stomata known as hydathodes, in cannabis guttations most commonly exude at the leaf axil, or another part of the stem via a stoma ..... It's no worry really, but that sap is effectively a delicious meal for any would be insects and pests

Super interesting. I remember cloning in Rockwool trays of like 98 clones and having these dark brown/black globs appear on the clones, when i touched them with my nail they would fall off. They looked like dead bugs but they were actually sap caused by the stress of cloning, environment - humidity of the tray with the lid on. Also the stems and petioles would turn red and the clones would be looking rough at this point around day 12-14 I would start seeing this on the odd clone. So maybe I have seen this, but never coming out of buds only stems.

It was all natural, I never used any pesticides. This was before I built this....and have 100% green healthy success now. And, it was an interesting phenomena to observe now that I know what it was :) . And it is not unique to any one strain.
